A minute's silence has been held in Liverpool to mark the 35th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy.

00:07 The silence was observed on Monday 15th April at 3.06pm, the exact time at which the fateful
00:14 match was stopped, in memory of the 97 people who lost their lives.
00:20 Following the silence, a bell rang out 97 times in tribute for each victim.
00:26 Taking place in exchange flags, it was led by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, with members
00:31 of the public encouraged to gather in the location to show their respect.
00:36 Liverpool Town Hall has been opened to the public to allow people to see a special freedom
00:40 of the city plaque engraved with the names of the 97.
00:44 The honour was bestowed on the 96 in September 2016 and Andrew Devine's name was added in
00:50 May 2022 after becoming the disaster's 97th victim.
00:55 were also flown at half-mast from civic buildings across the city.
