Haigh in Wigan has been named among the UK’s poshest villages by the Telegraph

While Wigan may not be the first place that springs to mind when thinking of the poshest areas, a village within the borough is the only representative from Greater Manchester on the list.

The Telegraph used exclusive research provided by Savills which analysed the most desirable villages in Britain based on the combination of highest house prices, best lifestyle amenities, connectivity and aesthetic appeal.

We spoke to people on the streets of Manchester to find out their thoughts on the poshest places in Greater Manchester.
