00:00 I'm David Gray and I'm the cabinet member responsible for environment and

00:04 planning at Gloucestershire County Council. This morning we're in Lydney to

00:08 open some of our new charge points. We now have more than a hundred installed

00:13 charge points across Gloucestershire and we're targeting over a thousand. We've

00:18 recently received some very good news that central government has given us an

00:21 extra three and a half million towards financing the installation of these new

00:26 points. The objective is to provide everyone in Gloucestershire with access to

00:30 EV charging points to encourage them to take up electric vehicles and help us

00:35 to address climate change.
