00:00 (upbeat music)
00:03 - So at the top of the board,
00:05 I mean, everyone's got their issues up there,
00:06 except when you talk about the Copperhead course,
00:09 and we're speaking of Sam Burns.
00:11 I mean, feel the burn there.
00:13 This guy, he can putt there, he can do everything there.
00:15 He's in five trips there, what he goes 12, 30,
00:18 first, first, sixth.
00:20 He gains an average of 10 strokes on the field,
00:23 strokes gain total, just showing up to the place.
00:25 So for me, at the top of the board,
00:27 that's the guy that I'm featuring.
00:29 The other guy is the big game hunter,
00:31 and I know he's not big in stature,
00:32 but this guy with his approach game on,
00:35 how about that shot he hit at a number eight,
00:37 when he takes the head cover off from 240,
00:39 and hits that thing in there inside 10 feet.
00:42 Harmon, he's hitting wood on the par fives,
00:44 and he's still, I mean, API, six shots on approach.
00:48 At Sawgrass last week, nine shots on approach.
00:51 So those are my two at the top of the board.
00:53 When I go a little bit deeper,
00:55 you gotta run with my man.
00:57 There are no gimme putts in this game, Carver, right?
01:00 Doug Gim, the Gim Reaper, this guy,
01:03 he started the week at 60 to one.
01:05 I know that you didn't look at the board early,
01:08 but he started the week at over 60 to one.
01:10 He's down to 45, some people have him 40 to one.
01:12 Everybody's talking about this guy,
01:14 and they rightfully should,
01:16 because five straight top 16 finishes,
01:19 and what you're gonna say, like I always say,
01:22 there's no gimme putts with Doug Gim.
01:24 Four out of last five, he's gained with the putter.
01:26 Let's go on this guy, and then, hey, Sam Ryder,
01:31 come on, you know what I mean?
01:32 Florida, he's been good,
01:34 and ball striking, the putter as well.
01:36 Nobody's made more birdies at TPC Sawgrass than Sam Ryder,
01:39 and you can get 110 on him.
01:41 That's where my outright card is.
01:43 - Yeah, the Gim Reaper and Ryder's on the storm,
01:46 two of our favorites here on Coast to Coast,
01:48 on the Keith Stewart card.
01:50 The top, the placements, the 10s, the 20s, and the 40s.
01:53 I see you've got Bezidenhout on here.
01:55 You have Adam Hadwin, who's on my card as well.
01:58 Keith, he has played well
02:00 at the Copperhead course in the past.
02:02 - Well, Adam Hadwin, all right,
02:04 so what's your motivation this week?
02:06 You know, ours is winning,
02:07 but for a guy like Adam Hadwin that sits number 50
02:10 on the official World Golf rankings,
02:12 he wants to play Augusta, right?
02:14 The 2017 champion right there at the Valspar,
02:17 you know, that's why I love him at a placement
02:19 and even money down there.
02:20 I mean, I think he sneaks right in there.
02:22 Might be the best bet of the week
02:23 to just start to build out the card, diversify,
02:26 make a little cash,
02:27 and then throw more back in in a live setting.
02:29 You know, also I'm gonna take him head to head
02:31 because he knows that golf course,
02:33 and he's obviously very, very comfortable here.
02:36 The same thing with Sebez,
02:37 so Christian Bezidenhout, right?
02:39 He's number 59 in the official World Golf rankings
02:41 this time of year.
02:43 I mean, this is why you have me come on, Carver.
02:45 I'm looking at these different boards,
02:47 not just the betting board,
02:48 not just the strokes game board.
02:50 You gotta look at the official World Golf rankings.
02:52 These guys, these are the types of things
02:54 that make them spend an extra hour on the putting green
02:56 or do something like that.
02:58 Sebez at plus 225 at a top 20.
03:01 I love that.
03:02 And I threw in Nick Taylor there too
03:04 because his iron game and his putter, really, really good.
03:08 - He gave me a good ride last week for two and a half days
03:11 with that 220 to one, Nick Taylor.
03:13 Fortunately, it all unraveled a bit on Saturday for him.
03:17 All right, quickly, the head to heads.
03:18 Like you said, you have Sebez in here
03:20 and you have Hadwin in the head to heads as well.
03:23 - Well, you understand the motivation there.
03:25 Now, Sebez, just as good a ball striker lately
03:27 as Aaron Rye, old two gloves there, but Rye can't putt.
03:31 And we're going to a place that the average guy can't putt.
03:33 So I love Sebez to be able to distance himself
03:36 over 72 holes.
03:37 And then of course, Hadwin over Hassler.
03:40 Hassler's lately the approach game, it's been shaky.
03:43 The putter's been shaky.
03:44 He's been rollercoastering a little bit
03:46 and he didn't have a good week there at the players.
03:48 So with Hadwin, the motivation,
03:50 I know Hadwin didn't have a great week there either,
03:54 other than on social media when he chucked the club there
03:56 in the water on 18.
03:57 But overall, Adam Hadwin going back to a place
04:01 where he's won and knows the greens, I love it.
