Wanderers captain Britney Duff gives insight into how the Two Blues women are shaping up for the 2024 Hunter Rugby Union season.

00:00 How's the team shaping up for this year?

00:02 It's really good. We have 27 players this year, which is a huge number.

00:08 We have nearly every single player from last year turning up again.

00:12 I think we only lost two, so it's going to be a really good season for Honduras.

00:16 Who's going to be the team to beat this year?

00:18 Without talking about them, Maitland Blacks.

00:21 So Maitland Blacks are looking like they're going to be a very strong team this year.

00:26 We're very excited to play them.

00:29 Who's going to be a player to watch for Honduras this year?

00:33 I would say Brooke Walklate. Coming off last year, she was our country player.

00:38 She's done very, very well.

00:40 I think that she just came back from an ACL injury as well, and I think that she's just growing and growing.

00:47 How do you feel about the competition expanding to eight teams this year?

00:51 It's always great to see the competition expanding.

00:54 Today, even, there's so many new girls that I have never seen before, which is amazing.

01:00 I haven't had that in so many years now.

01:03 It's nice to see that the game is growing.

01:06 How do you adjust to the new tackle height rule?

01:09 We've had to change our whole training system around that.

01:13 We're really focusing now on hitting low at really numerous drills around that,

01:20 making sure that we are focusing on that because the referees will be pinning us.
