00:03 and welcome back to another episode of Weekend Watch,

00:05 where I'll be telling you through what's on TV

00:08 and the cinemas and streaming over the weekend and beyond.

00:13 Already out on Thursday the 7th is The Gentleman,

00:17 the Guy Ritchie series based on the 2019 film

00:21 with Matthew McConaughey.

00:22 This is a sort of sequel series with eight episodes.

00:26 It's released all in one go on the 7th.

00:29 Benji spoke about it at length on the main pod,

00:32 so go and give that a listen if you haven't already.

00:34 Also out on the 7th was Poor Things,

00:38 the Best Picture nominee with Emma Stone and Matt Ruffalo,

00:41 Willem Dafoe.

00:42 It's a sort of sci-fi, fantasy period drama,

00:47 which was a weird modernist take on Frankenstein.

00:52 Very well-acclaimed, obviously, to get the Best Picture nom,

00:55 as well as several other gongs.

00:56 And if you missed it at the cinema,

00:58 now is your chance to catch it on Disney+.

01:00 So getting on to Friday now, the 8th of March,

01:03 and Netflix fantasy film Damsel,

01:05 starring Millie Bobby Brown, is released.

01:09 It follows Brown's character, Isaiah Dutiful Damsel,

01:13 who agrees to marry a handsome prince,

01:15 but only to realize that the royal family

01:19 has intended her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt.

01:22 So she finds herself thrown into a cave

01:24 with a fire-breathing dragon

01:25 and has to rely on her wits and abilities

01:28 to survive.

01:29 So a sort of twist on the traditional fairy story.

01:32 Also on Friday, season two of The Reluctant Traveller

01:36 comes to Apple TV.

01:37 So it follows Schitt's Creek star Eugene Levy

01:40 on his travels through Europe

01:41 as he visits some of the continent's

01:43 both most intriguing destinations,

01:46 uncovers hidden gems,

01:47 and finds some fantastic hotels along the way.

01:50 Across the week, Crufts will have been on Channel 4,

01:55 and on Sunday the 10th, we have the Best in Show episode.

01:59 So Claire Balding will present the crowning

02:01 of this year's Best in Show winner

02:03 at 7 p.m. on Channel 4.

02:05 As I say, the main show itself is on throughout the week

02:09 on Channel 4, so check your TV guide.

02:12 Sunday, we also have the film event of the year,

02:15 the Oscars.

02:17 So this will be on Sunday evening.

02:19 And we have big names up for awards.

02:23 Oppenheimer tipped to do very well off its success

02:27 at the BAFTAs and the Golden Globes previously.

02:30 Barbie's up for eight gongs,

02:32 but probably not tipped to win very many of them.

02:35 Other big name nominees are of course,

02:37 Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon,

02:40 and Anatomy of a Fall,

02:43 which could well win Best Foreign Picture.

02:45 So that will definitely be worth watching.

02:50 On Monday the 11th, we have season three

02:53 of Young Royals coming to Netflix,

02:56 sort of a romantic drama series.

02:58 First five episodes come on the 11th,

03:00 and then the sixth and final episode of the series

03:03 will be released on the 18th.

03:05 Again on Monday, Snow Going Back,

03:07 Comic Relief vs. The Arctic is on BBC One at 9 p.m.

03:11 It's a Comic Relief special,

03:13 which will follow Laura Whitmore, Alex Scott,

03:15 Sarah Davies, and Vicky Patterson

03:17 as they take on the coldest challenge ever for Comic Relief,

03:21 attempting a 50-kilometer sub-zero Arctic expedition

03:26 over the course of four days.

03:28 Definitely worth watching.

03:30 Again on Monday, we have a pretty heavy documentary

03:35 accused the Hampstead pedophile host.

03:37 This is a feature-length doc

03:39 coming to Channel 4 at 9 p.m. on Monday.

03:41 Follows four mothers who were falsely accused

03:44 of being part of a satanic cult.

03:47 And then again Monday, 9 p.m. on Channel 5,

03:50 we have Love Rat, a four-part psychological thriller

03:53 starring Sally Lindsay.

03:55 This will be airing at 9 p.m. weekly over four weeks.

03:59 Then going on to Tuesday, we have Royal Kill List.

04:02 This is something a little bit different.

04:04 Sky History Program.

04:05 We don't often preview many Sky History movie, series, sorry.

04:10 So this is a historical drama

04:13 following King Charles II's hunt

04:15 for the killers of his father, Charles I.

04:19 They're known as the Regicides.

04:21 It's a three-part series airing weekly at 9 p.m.

04:25 And lastly for weekend watch,

04:27 we have Bandidos, a Mexican comedy series

04:31 coming to Netflix on Wednesday the 13th of March.

04:34 Follows a quirky hustler who recruits

04:37 a gang of skilled misfits to find

04:40 Snake King's treasure in the Maya Riviera.
