00:28 The metro will connect the twin cities of Howrah and Salt Lake in the West Bengal state

00:33 Impressively, three out of six stations along the route will be situated underground, showcasing
00:37 the engineering prowess behind this transformative project.
00:41 The metro is expected to traverse a 520-metre stretch under the Hooghly River in just 45
00:46 seconds, providing a swift and efficient connection between the two cities.
00:50 The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday.
00:52 The Chief Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Railway, Kaushik Mitra, emphasised
00:57 that while the inauguration takes place on Wednesday, passenger services will commence

01:25 Kavi Subhash Hemant Mukhopadhyay and the Taratola Majherhat metro sections in Kolkata, showcasing
01:31 the comprehensive expansion of the city's metro network.
01:34 Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public rally at
01:38 Barashat in North 24 Parganas district, underlining the significance of this visit to West Bengal.
01:45 On Tuesday evening, shortly after his arrival in Kolkata, PM Modi visited the Ramakrishna
01:49 Mission Seva Prathishthan, where he enquired about the health of Ramakrishna Math and Mission
01:54 President Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj, who is undergoing treatment.
