Your midweek ski forecast from New York to California

If you're hoping to hit the slopes anywhere in the U.S. during the first full week of March, AccuWeather's Melissa Constanzer has a forecast just for you.

00:00 We do want to show you what's going on and as we check out some of the ski reports, there it is,

00:06 I'm going to find it right away. I just want to show you here Mammoth, they've got a base of 150.

00:11 A couple of clouds heading into tomorrow so things are working out well there and as you go to Alta,

00:17 154 inches for that base. They've got 118 runs open. We're still looking good too in Steamboat

00:22 Springs where we've got 181 runs open. So lots of snow to rejoice in so far. If you are headed to

00:29 Mammoth, which got in on some of the activity over the past couple of days, we should be a

00:34 little easier to get there because we keep with the clouds and there's less snow actively falling

00:38 and then we'll see a little bit more snow on Thursday but it's not a big storm maker. Mount Hood

00:43 has seen its share of snow through the past 10 days and now we're looking a little brighter.

00:48 Wednesday, Thursday, enjoying some sunshine out there so I think it's going to be a decent time

00:52 if you have a chance to get away for the middle of the week. That could be one of your spots.

00:56 We'll take you to the East Coast. Here it's always tricky. Let's face it, Hunter Mountain though,

01:01 we're going to be dealing with a lot of rain unfortunately the next couple of days.

01:04 Not as you get towards Southern New York, it's just cloudy, it's wet and it's also fairly mild

01:11 on Wednesday so that snowpack that you do have, it's going to be hard to withstand that and it's

01:26 keep that snow base it's going to get pretty sloppy by the end of the week.
