00:00 From the mundane to the surreal, the everyday lives of Australians from a range of backgrounds,

00:11 There's an amazing opportunity for the whole of the Northern Territory community to come and see,
00:15 really a selection of some of the greatest visual artists working in this country today.
00:19 It's a rich tapestry of works on display.
00:22 These ceramic portraits by supermarket worker Kenny Pittock are created from discarded shopping lists.
00:28 He realised that these were very tender representations of who these people were

00:41 Among the leading Australian artists are some recognisable Northern Territory names,
00:46 like Tiwi artist Jonathan 'World Peace' Bush.
00:49 This work is a really important work. It talks about treaty, it talks about keeping culture strong.
00:54 I think anyone who comes in will be like, 'Oh, I might know this artist, I might know their family.'
00:59 Or, 'I definitely recognise Tiwi art.'
01:02 Artists from the Northern Territory have always travelled the world and exhibited to critical acclaim,
