Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley announced co-star Richard Gaisford had to undergo emergency surgery in hospital this weekend, as they sent him their best wishes

00:08 He's had to be in hospital over the weekend. He'd had an infection, antibiotics didn't deal with it,
00:15 so he popped in to see if it was all right. Suddenly he was undergoing emergency surgery
00:20 at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth and he wanted to say a massive thank you
00:26 to all the incredible NHS staff who looked after him. So, swift recovery. Yeah, get well soon mate.
