00:00 Before I went into Reiki and animal communication I used to work in human resources and then
00:09 I retrained to become an animal communicator and a Reiki healer.
00:13 Benefits for me of changing career from being in human resources in the corporate world
00:17 into being a healer and a communicator is the flexibility to be able to work when I
00:22 want, to be able to raise my family in that as well.
00:27 I have so much more time to be able to do other things in my life that interest me but
00:32 also it doesn't feel like work.
00:33 I often forget that this is work because this is just what I love doing.
00:38 So in the Reiki I work on a mobile basis.
00:40 I go to people's homes and work with people, working with them and some people have long
00:45 term health conditions, some people just want it for a relaxation so I go to their homes
00:50 and work with them in their own space.
00:52 For animals I go to their yard or to their homes wherever they are to help them.
00:57 So sometimes again it can be maybe an anxious dog or a rescue dog or a rescue horse and
01:02 they have various issues and Reiki can be a beautiful way to relax and calm those animals.
01:09 Going to somebody's home I will communicate with the person first to manage their expectations
01:14 almost.
01:15 So sometimes with animal Reiki it's not a case of sitting with my hands over or touching
01:20 the animal because not all animals want to be touched.
01:23 It's not like working with humans.
01:25 I let the animal lead and it's part of my values and the way that we work with Reiki
01:29 and the ethics to allow the animal to choose whether or not they want to receive that healing.
01:34 So in my mind I will ask them are they happy to receive the healing and I'll usually
01:38 receive a yes or a no.
01:39 Or I'll see from their body language and then you might see the animal wandering around
01:43 for a bit.
01:44 So say if it's a dog and I go to their home, sometimes they might lie down for a bit and
01:48 they look really relaxed and then they'll just wander off and that's my cue they've
01:51 had enough.
01:52 The animal communication is my main thing that I do.
01:58 People will come to me to ask me to connect in with their animal for various reasons and
02:01 it can be any animal.
02:02 I can connect with any species.
02:04 Often I'm the last port of call so they've been to the vet, they've maybe been to a
02:08 behaviourist, they've tried to understand themselves what's going on for the animal
02:11 but they'll come to me to ask the animal what's going on and what do they need.
02:17 And my role is to connecting in using a photograph in my human room at home.
02:21 The human will give me some questions that they want me to ask and then the animal will
02:26 share that with me and I will feedback everything that I receive to the human unedited and then
02:31 between me and the human then we'll try and understand what the animal's message is.
