00:00 The destruction is plain to see here. This is one of the 44 properties and buildings
00:07 that has been destroyed in this fire on the east of the Grampians National Park, which
00:12 has been a direct hit to the township of Pomona. In this home here, there are eight people
00:19 that live here in an instant. Really, in an afternoon, it has been destroyed. The shed
00:24 is just an example of the destruction. To move left, there is a mattress on the floor,
00:31 which has just been incinerated. Then there are cars as well, just around here. The intensity
00:38 of this fire, it's plain to see, really. There is metal. A bumper has just been melted onto
00:44 the ground. This landscape right now is so unfamiliar for so many. On Tuesday morning,
00:50 they were in their homes. They were in their communities running their businesses. Now
00:55 their world has completely changed. As I said, there are 44 properties now that have been
01:00 confirmed to be destroyed in this blaze on Tuesday afternoon here in Pomona. Another
01:06 blaze just to the north of the National Park, near Dadswell's Bridge, there has been one
01:11 property that has been confirmed to be destroyed. This is very much now in the recovery stage.
01:16 There are still some firefighting efforts being done in the Grampians National Park,
01:21 but both of these fires are now at advice level and residents are returning home, really
01:27 to devastating scenes.
