IN DEEP was a BBC One crime drama starring Nick Berry & Stephen Tompkinson consisting of 22 episodes over 3 Seasons broadcast between 19th February 2001 and 4th March 2003. Nick Berry & Stephen Tompkinson had already known each other for many years and were delighted to working on this project together. Writer Creator Peter Jukes immersed with undercover police for several weeks infiltrating crime organizations to get a feel for life on the ground. "In Deep is a very gritty drama and not the kind of thing that I'm normally associated with" Tompkinson comments and goes on to say "This is not just another police show, it was seat of the pants stuff for us and the dramatic possibilities are endless."
