Penistone Paramount 110th anniversary

Penistone Paramount as one of the last heritage cinemas of its kind marks its 110th anniversary this year.

00:15 Hi, my name's Brian Barnsley. I'm the manager of the Penistone Paramount here in Penistone, South Yorkshire.

00:21 Our little cinema is going to be 110 years old in November.

00:25 And we have been welcoming guests now for the last 109 years, because the first year we were actually a theatre.

00:32 We show all sorts of things here, including National Theatre Live, the big releases,

00:37 plus all those super little films that you can still get to see.

00:40 And did you know that Mary Poppins was 60 years old this August, and you'll be able to see it here in Penistone.
