00:05 The one team that we always knew had a lot of money, but
00:07 why does nobody want to take their money?
00:09 It was the San Francisco Giants who come into agreement a three year contract,
00:13 $42 million for Jorge Soler.
00:15 Retooling that outfield, spending some money and
00:17 getting some good players here to take that for the Giants.
00:20 >> Yeah, Donnie, I think you hit it on the head.
00:23 I mean, they gave the kid from the KBO over $100 million and
00:27 who knows what he is gonna be.
00:28 I have no idea, but they gave him a lot of money.
00:31 Soler's contract three years, 42 million is a little bit more than what
00:36 the Marlins gave him a couple of years ago before he opted out because of the state
00:41 tax, kind of the same with the contract that he got from the Marlins and
00:45 the one that he got from the Giants.
00:47 Look, I think San Francisco at this point with all of the attempts to sign all
00:51 these players still would like to feel a competitive team if possible.
00:54 Of course, they have a new manager, Farhan Zaidi still running the show there, but
00:58 they're under some pressure to win at this point.
01:00 And it's gonna take a lot more, I think, than just Soler to get that done.
01:04 But naturally, it's a good fit for that team.
01:07 They really haven't had a major power hitter since Barry Bonds there.
01:11 This guy Soler is gonna be the biggest impact power bat,
01:15 I think, since that's been the case.
01:17 So I think he's got a chance to hit 30 or 40.
01:19 Health has always been the key with Soler.
01:21 Gotta keep him on the field and then keep him off, actually, the field and
01:24 the outfield.
01:25 Probably put him at DH is what I would do the rest of the entire season.
