00:04 the most romantic day of the year. Jennifer has contacted us saying, "My worst date would have to

00:10 be the guy that I met that was obsessed with the army. His favorite noise was a gunshot.

00:15 He always wore a camo cap and would leave the toilet seat up."

00:18 I think the toilet seat up is standard, let's be real. Not in a date situation,

00:24 but just in general. I knew it, don't target me!

00:30 That was really targeting.

00:31 But yeah, I think I've met many a guy that is army obsessed. And it does get strange,

00:40 I'll be honest. So I have a, you know, from Ellen, "One guy complimented me so many times

00:47 that I had to make a rule that only one per five minutes. I stupidly agreed to go on an

00:52 escape room with him. He was so annoying and was talking with a Yoshi voice. He was completely

00:57 useless and I managed to get on in 34 minutes. When I was sitting on the bus ready to leave,

01:01 he did heart hands to me." So he was doing that on the way as she's like going away.

01:07 I mean, the cringe of the Yoshi voice is bad enough, but the heart hands, that's a no.

01:12 I mean, 34 minutes for an escape room, like, good for them.

01:14 Oh my god, imagine feeling that trapped.

01:18 Well, that means in 34 minutes that she only got seven compliments in the period of time

01:23 if it was one per five minutes. So, it's getting worse.

01:26 I like your smile. Oh wait, I've run out. I did an escape room and I did the kids version

01:31 and I couldn't get out. It was quite embarrassing.

01:34 I just find them really scary.

01:35 I did one actually one time and they were like, "Oh, the door was open the whole time.

01:39 You could have just left straight away."

01:40 Okay, Hayley. This is awful. Hayley says, "One guy I dated kissed my mum on, oh no,

01:51 he kissed his mum, kissed my mum." That would be even worse.

01:56 I mean, either way, it's pretty bad.

01:58 "One guy I dated kissed his mum on the mouth. I should have run then.

02:04 It wasn't just a hello kiss. It was multiple times throughout the day.

02:09 She even tried to kiss me on the mouth once."

02:12 Why would you? I mean, on a first date, I wouldn't expect anyone's mum to kiss me on the mouth.

02:20 I wouldn't even expect him really. Sometimes I'm like, "Hmm, but his mum,

02:26 why are they meeting parents on a first date anyway?"

02:28 Yeah, we need to find out if this was actually a first date because I mean,

02:31 the parents are intense. The kids, people come from different walks of life, don't they?

02:37 But this is not quite what-

02:38 But imagine, first of all, if it was a first date saying, "Oh yes,

02:43 would you like to come and meet my mother?"

02:45 No, for starters. And then if she tried to kiss me?

02:48 That makes me uncomfortable.

02:53 We've all had our own trials and tribulations in dating as well.

02:56 I've not got any ultra embarrassing dating stories myself, but I just guess in terms of

03:02 the actual process of talking to someone. There was this one time, basically, I was at a music

03:07 festival and there was a football beside us and I saw this girl and she was just standing

03:11 with a drink and I was like, "Right, I'll try and get her attention and try and talk to her."

03:14 So I was going to roll the football over to her just to get her attention, kick back to me and

03:19 get chatting from there. Easy. I absolutely belted the ball without meaning to do so,

03:23 hit her in the hand, hit her where her drink was, poured it all down herself.

03:27 Oh my god.

03:28 So that was over before it even began.

03:29 What was this? Did you run or did you go over and like-

03:34 I'm so sorry.

03:35 Do you know that bit in the in-betweeners where the car gets stopped after the show

03:40 bus? Word I won't say.

03:42 Yeah, I was pretty much just like, "Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry."

03:46 So yeah, I imagine nothing really happened after that.

03:49 See, I'm quite vanilla when it comes down to dating. I had a situation when I went on a

03:55 date with a guy and his phone started ringing. First off, "Rude, turn your phone off. Put it

04:00 away from the table." I do not have my phone on the table if I'm having my meal. Anyway,

04:06 and obviously this name comes up, but it's got like little heart emojis around it. And I'm like,

04:10 "Oh, who's that?" Just being like, you know, very nonchalant about it. And he's like, "Oh,

04:16 it's my ex. I just haven't had time to change the emojis and just to the name." I should have

04:23 really caught that.

04:23 That's quite a big red flag.

04:24 Red flag at the time. Yeah. And yeah, it sort of went from there. And then it hit a point where I

04:31 felt so guilty. I stalked his Facebook to find the girlfriend to then message her and say, "Hey,

04:37 are you still dating this guy? Because I went out on a date with him last night and you tried to

04:41 call him. Do you want to know about this?" Safe to say that she broke up with him after that. And

04:49 it did not continue with me. I was like, "No, I don't want to be the other side."

04:52 It was a love island. I could have been a love island.

04:55 Order for a chat.

04:57 I had to drive. He told me I needed to drive instead of us getting a taxi so I could have a

05:01 drink. Red flags were flying everywhere.

05:03 But you had to drive.

05:05 Yeah.

05:05 And then he was able to drink.

05:06 Yeah.

05:07 I would have said, "Why don't you just get your girlfriend to drop you off?"

05:10 That would have been fun.

05:12 Oh, hello.

05:14 Wally, what was your worst date?

05:16 So this was my boyfriend that I turned into a dog.

05:19 The worst date would probably be when I went on first dates, to be honest.

05:26 Which I don't... Oh, this is really out in them. It was all right. It was just that I didn't want

05:34 to go on the date. I just went on the show to meet Fred. And quite frankly, I would have rather

05:40 been on the date with Fred.

05:41 He's a married man, Annabelle.

05:45 Well, that boy had a girlfriend as well.

05:48 You never know.

05:52 First of all, I forgot his name, which isn't a brilliant start. And the producers kept

06:01 egging me on being like, "No, Annabelle, you need to say his name. It's his name."

06:05 And I was like, "Come on, give me a break."

06:07 Yeah, anyway, I had to be like, "I don't know his name."

06:10 You're like, "Hey, champ. How you doing, sport?"

06:12 And not only that, I feel like I do just waffle when I'm on a date and I don't know the person.

06:23 Plus it was a blind date. And I don't feel like there was like a...

06:26 There was like... I don't know. There wasn't a spark.

06:29 So I started waffling on about Mr. Bean.

06:31 Because he said...

06:34 Hi!

06:34 Right. He said to me...

06:36 "Oh, yeah, I'm a chef."

06:40 And I was like, "Oh, cool. Whereabouts?"

06:42 He's like, "Oh, Covent Garden. I'm a fish chef."

06:45 And rather than just finishing the conversation there and saying, "Cool,"

06:49 I said, "What fish? What type of fish?"

06:52 And he was like, "Oh, oysters."

06:54 So that's when I got onto Mr. Bean, where I was like, "Oh, you know, Mr. Bean."

06:59 And like the oyster scene.

07:00 And, you know, he's like piling them in.

07:02 And he was just looking at me like I was crazy.

07:04 And I think that's when I knew it wasn't meant to be.

07:06 At least you didn't continue on about the animated series after that,

07:09 and then the original series and brought a franchise into it.

07:12 I was really tempted.

07:13 But the big question is, you're saying that you knew it wasn't meant to be.

07:16 Did he quark on as well?

07:18 Apparently, afterwards.

07:20 We did go out for a drink after.

07:22 But apparently afterwards, he thought that I gave him friend vibes.

07:28 Oh, me IRL.

07:30 Which I actually didn't think I did.

07:35 I was giving datey vibes, but apparently not.

07:39 But yeah, did you have to do that awkward interview at the end where they're just like,

07:42 "So you do think you guys will see each other again?"

07:44 And you know, when everyone's like, "Yeah."

07:46 Yeah.

07:47 I believe he didn't think you were flirting with him.

07:50 You were talking about fish and Mr. Bean.

07:53 I know, it's a bit embarrassing.

07:54 It's a good combination, to be fair.

07:56 I think I was a bit curious as well.

07:58 Because we were given a certain amount of money to buy while we were there in the hotel.

08:05 I'm really spoiling the magic of TV here.

08:07 And I didn't know where to go and get food.

08:09 I was a bit embarrassed leaving the hotel on myself.

08:11 Because this is COVID times as well.

08:12 So you had to get up before every single screening to go get your test,

08:16 before you actually went in for this stuff.

08:18 So yeah, we were all kind of like at a distance.

08:20 It was just a bit weird, to be honest.

08:22 But Fred was the highlight.

08:23 Yeah.

08:24 She did a selfie.

08:25 I did, I did.

08:26 Oh, good.

08:27 I mean, something good came out of that, didn't it?

08:28 You know when they ask at the end, "Oh, do you have a picture of like afterwards of like,

08:33 you know, where the date went and stuff?"

08:35 And I was like, "Yeah, I've got a picture, but it's got Fred in it."

08:37 And I sent over the picture.

08:39 And the producer actually said, "You look more pally with Fred than what you do for your date."

08:44 I was like, "What's wrong with that?"

08:46 And I got aired.
