Art and architecture collide in a magical light show at Beverley Minster this February (13th-17th) Over half term in February, visitors to Beverley Minster will be able to immerse themselves in a stunning light and sound experience, taking them on an art journey from Baroque to Impressionism.
00:00 So I'm Peter Walker, I'm the artist director of Lux Moralis, and we're here within Beverley Minster in an artwork called Illuminating Art.
00:11 Lux Moralis is a collaboration between myself and my colleague David Harper, who's the composer, writes all the beautiful music we can currently hear.
00:19 And together we create these immersive experiences around the country inside some of the most remarkable buildings.
00:25 The Minster here is a beautiful interior, and the presentation of artwork essentially takes people on a walking tour through multiple light and sound installations,
00:35 through art history from a period of the Baroque right through to Impressionism, and that's a period of time that this building will have lived through.
00:43 So essentially we're bringing the colours, the sounds of several hundred years of history that this building would have been alive with during those periods of time.
00:52 We expect to see thousands of people in the next few days, and this first visit to the Minster, and we look forward to people enjoying the experience.
