00:03 Two women have come forward accusing the disgraced actor of physical and emotional abuse
00:08 in a report from the New York Times. The report also cited interviews with 20 other people who
00:14 allege that Majors has a history of volatility and that he repeatedly confronted female co-workers
00:20 while on the set of the HBO series Lovecraft Country, leading several to complain to the
00:24 network. The Times report references accounts from Emma Duncan and Mara Hooper who say they
00:30 dated Majors between 2013 and 2019, with both women describing Majors as a controlling,
00:36 threatening figure who isolated them from friends and career pursuits. Priya Chaudhuri,
00:41 a lawyer for Majors, told the Times that the relationships with Duncan and Hooper were both
00:45 toxic, admitting that he did say hurtful things but denied most of the claims of physical abuse
00:51 and said he did not know about the HBO complaint. The new revelations come only two months after
00:56 Majors was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree,
01:02 stemming from an incident in March of 2023 between the actor and his ex-partner Grace Jabari.
01:07 The charges carry a potential sentence of up to one year in prison. At a hearing Monday,
01:12 the sentencing was delayed to April 8. For more details on this story, head to THR.com.
