00:03 DAP will never forget its position on the 1MDB scandal involving former Prime Minister Najib Razak.
00:10 This was DAP Secretary-General Lok Siu Fook's assurance following such claims
00:15 after the Federal Territory's Pardons Board halved Najib's prison sentence to six years from 12
00:20 and reduced his fine to RM50 million from the initial RM210 million.
00:26 Lok said DAP's stance on the 1MDB cases had never wavered but had always been clear.
00:32 Citing Pakatan Harapan's collaboration with Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the 14th General Election,
00:38 Lok said the coalition would not have joined forces with the former Prime Minister
00:42 if their goal wasn't to remove Najib and his government.
00:45 Therefore, he said anyone including former Bangi MP Ong Kiang Ming,
00:49 who claims DAP has forgotten its stance, was talking rubbish.
00:53 Meanwhile, Lok said DAP would not take any disciplinary action against PUA
00:58 over the former Damansara MP's remarks on Najib's reduced jail sentence.
01:02 He also said PUA's statement did not reflect DAP's official position as he is not a member of its leadership.
