00:00 All right, let's get to the update here in New York sports betting leading up to the
00:07 Super Bowl or, you know, obviously, you know, big numbers, as you can see there on social
00:12 media being posted out by Mike Mazzeo.
00:14 You know, Jim, it's it's look a lot of conversation yesterday with Roger Goodell to making his
00:20 it's just the sports betting is booming like we've never seen before.
00:24 There's just no stopping this.
00:26 It's only a question of the companies that are trying to get their footprint and staying
00:30 involved.
00:31 But clearly, great signs again for the state of New York.
00:34 Yeah, and they're they're doing they're doing exceptionally well, though it does seem like
00:40 January.
00:41 They're going to come up just a tad bit short of two billion dollars in handle, which, you
00:46 know, would have been the fourth consecutive month that they did that.
00:49 But it looks like they're going to come up just a tiny bit shy of two billion in handle
00:56 in January when we get those final numbers towards the end of the week here.
01:00 FanDuel kind of stuck out to me over over the first four full weeks of January.
01:08 They were approaching one hundred million dollars in in monthly revenue.
01:14 All the apps really fared quite well in January.
01:19 Of course, NFL betting with the playoffs going on is the big driver of that.
01:24 It seemed like the online sportsbooks in New York had everything kind of break their way
01:30 in the AFC and NFC championship games.
01:33 And they were able to clear nearly forty four and a half million dollars combined in just
01:38 that one week alone.
01:39 Now, of course, that's not just from from NFL betting that covers all of it.
01:44 But as we know, Craig, the NFL, especially this time of year, is a big driver of that
01:51 handle and in turn the revenue for sportsbooks overall betting handle in that final full
02:00 week of January was four hundred and twenty two million dollars.
02:05 Like I said, just kind of parsing that out over those last remaining days of January
02:11 to get to January 31st, which we'll see those results here in the next couple of days, just
02:17 kind of bearing out that four hundred and twenty two million dollar figure.
02:21 Like I said, it's going to come up just a tiny bit short of four consecutive months
02:26 of two billion dollars in online handle in New York state.
02:31 We'll see what that all kind of bears out here.
02:35 Those numbers usually come on Thursday.
02:37 But yeah, like you said, it's it's been a huge market, probably the most robust market
02:45 over the last two years since sports betting launched online in New York.
02:51 And certainly I'm sure all the operators in New York are excited about the the approaching
02:57 Super Bowl as they typically tend to do big business.
