00:09 The Football Association of Malaysia
00:11 announced Khaled's death in a Facebook post today
00:14 and said he had fought lung cancer for nearly a year.
00:17 Khaled was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer
00:19 around April last year.
00:21 Khaled represented the national team from 1977 to 1985,
00:26 helping the Harimau Melayu squad qualify
00:28 for the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, Russia.
00:31 He played as a right back and defensive midfielder.
00:34 He had two stints with the Selangor team,
00:36 playing for them from 1976 to 1980,
00:38 and then 1983 to 1985.
00:41 In between that, he played for the Kuala Lumpur team.
