00:03 Well, from one team with momentum to potentially the only other team in

00:08 the Premiership with more momentum, Barry, and that's Hearts.

00:12 3-2 against Dundee's a scoreline that was a bit of deja vu in that, of course.

00:18 But just what's the feeling?

00:20 You're obviously the Hearts reporter for the evening news.

00:22 What's the feeling like at Tyne Castle at the moment,

00:24 like just amongst the supporters?

00:25 Because it's almost like we're waiting for the wheels to come off and

00:29 they're just not, they just keep going like some kind of mad maroon juggernaut.

00:33 >> Yeah, mad's probably a good way to describe it because a lot of the games,

00:39 they start off very slowly.

00:42 They're getting overrun in midfield a little bit, and

00:45 in a few games now they've been behind.

00:46 But there's just that, there is that belief and that resilience there.

00:50 And you can sense it, not just from the players and the coaching staff, but

00:53 you can sense it in the stand as well.

00:55 That although they know maybe the first half's been poor,

00:57 they know that they'll come out in the second half and

00:59 they'll have a right good go at it.

01:00 And if they're not gonna get three points, they'll at least salvage a point.

01:03 And that was criticized.

01:05 I spoke to Steven Naismith about that, and he made the point that even when he was

01:10 a player at Hearts, that that lack of character was criticized at times,

01:14 quite a lot, rightly so at the time.

01:17 And so now it seems to be there in abundance, and

01:20 that isn't something that you could ever overlook and underestimate.

01:25 Because I think any good team has to have that sense of defiance and

01:30 fight when things, because the chips will be down and

01:32 things will go against you in football at different times.

01:35 And you have to have that sense of togetherness and

01:38 belief to try and dig yourself out of it.

01:40 And Hearts have certainly got that, the way they came back.

01:42 I think they were always in the game on Saturday, even at 1-0 down and

01:47 2-1 down, because they were getting forward and creating chances.

01:50 But they were exposed a little bit at the back, and

01:52 that's why Dundee managed to get a couple of goals.

01:54 But again, when you've got players, everybody talks about Shankland, and

01:59 Shankland's been terrific for Hearts, absolutely their best and

02:02 most influential player without question.

02:04 But not far behind them at the minute is Alan Forrest,

02:06 he's been absolutely terrific for a good five, six weeks now.

02:11 Regular assists, winning penalties, scoring goals,

02:17 just as you know, all around player, running at defenders, creating chances,

02:20 getting by people, getting to the byline, delivering crosses.

02:23 He's just taken his game to a whole different level, and

02:25 that's had a lot to do with the momentum that Hearts have built up

02:28 since mid-December, really.
