A dry, mainly fine evening for England and Wales and becoming chilly in the east, perhaps with a touch of frost. Northern Ireland and Scotland seeing thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain for parts of Scotland. On Sunday, a brightening trend after a rather cloudy start. Scotland and Northern Ireland will see an active front move in bringing spells of heavy rain at times, especially in the west with strong, potentially disruptive gusts possible in the far west and northwest of Scotland - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the evening of 27/01/24.
