00:00 Here with Brett Peters at the Strathalby market, how did you find the sale went today?
00:04 Oh the sale today was very strong today, it was a big shout out to all the vendors today,
00:11 there's a quality yarding, plenty of weight and from the upset, the steers were probably,
00:16 I would have thought 20 to 30, 40 cents up on last sale and the heifer side was really
00:22 pleasing because I think they were probably 50 cents probably better than the last sale.
00:26 But again Strath starting to get a real good reputation for quality stock,
00:30 very well weaned and all the rest and buyers keep coming back because they know they're buying
00:36 quality stuff and we're just getting that reputation now that keeps this market keep
00:40 on going forwards. There was a big crowd today, who can you sort of point out that obviously was
00:44 buying strong? The steady today, the crowd was steady today, it was a reasonably good crowd.
00:49 Today it was from everyone sort of thing, TFI, Princess Royal was the two trade buyers,
00:54 we had a lot of support from local people as well, little bits of piece throwing 20 or so
01:00 and then some great support from Danny Reynolds and Bruce Cameron buying their normal lots and
01:06 that order that Danny had on those heifers certainly kicked those heifers where
01:11 we probably didn't think it would go. What were those prices up to?
01:15 Those heifer prices up would have probably got up to three dollars a kilo sort of thing for those
01:22 heifers which you know we're sort of thinking 240 was last last sale and I reckon 260,
01:27 70, 80 was probably this sale with some better heifers making three dollars I would have thought.
01:30 So yeah but no it was good support by both companies helping out there as well. The
01:35 steers really punched along we're seeing in excess of that three dollar mark and we even reached three
01:40 dollars a mark on the heifers today which is very pleasing. Yeah really really a lot more urgency in
01:46 the buying field today. It was a big crowd as well? Yeah really good crowd in attendance and both
01:52 free stockers and food lotters were here and punching along above that three dollars on the
01:56 steers sort of and then we got up to sort of around the three dollars fifty and maybe a bit better for
02:00 those 300 kilo steers just to turn out and go back onto pasture because obviously we're having a
02:06 fairly good season at the moment.
