Researchers in Switzerland and the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Germany recently found that, contrary to popular belief, blue light might not be the biggest problem when it comes to getting rest.

00:24 One of the leaders of the study said, "Yellowish light has a stronger influence on the internal
00:29 clock than bluish light."
00:30 The team studied eight men and eight women over 23 days to see how light affected people's
00:35 sleep and found "there was no conclusive evidence that blue light was any more damaging
00:41 to people's sleep than any other light."
00:44 In fact, the study suggests that brightness matters more than the hue of the light involved.
00:49 So if you scroll endlessly at 3 a.m., experts say, just try to keep your screens as dim
00:54 as possible.
