00:00 Regenerative farming, what is it? Why don't you know what it is?
00:04 Nature is the mother of us all. And if mama ain't happy, we're f***ed.
00:11 I mean, all of it really comes from the young age. I grew up in Iowa too, so having the benefits of growing up in Iowa, you get to see two worlds.
00:21 But I mean, regenerative farming is nothing new. It's something that's certainly ancient and old. It's just us being more connected to our planet.
00:30 So I feel like I've known, but the statistics have blunted me.
00:35 I've gotten to know that everything else is something that's new to me, so to see all that, it can be a part of a change.
00:42 I have a lot of beautiful friends that are into this.
00:45 There's so many things I want to do to help save the planet for my kids, your kids, everybody's kids.
00:51 I love this place. We've got to do the best we can.
00:56 So having something like this, hopefully families get together and they can watch it.
01:01 It's what we're going to let you know.
01:03 I took this film to a kid's school, and we sat with the kids and we watched it together.
01:08 It was really beautiful because the kids were like, "We know about this. We've heard this at an early age."
01:15 But a lot of people do know, and maybe their parents don't.
01:18 So this is a beautiful film, and they can't sit down and learn a lot of stuff.
01:22 We're your specials.
01:24 We're your specials.
01:26 That's how we made it.
01:27 What's on your bucket list next?
01:29 We've got Fast X in the past. We've got Aquaman in the past.
01:33 Are you looking for love in this next year? Are you ready for other things?
01:38 I would say...
01:42 Bucket list.
01:44 I'm doing my bucket list for a while.
01:47 I'm doing some pretty cool stuff.
01:49 What's that?
01:50 Minecraft?
01:51 What you've been doing.
01:52 That's the thing I've wanted to do my whole life.
01:55 So that's the Minecraft culture.
01:57 I've got to do that with Apple, so I'm excited for that to come out.
02:00 I haven't released it yet.
02:03 I'm doing a comedy with Jack Black called "Things of God."
02:06 Jack Black is...he tickles my heart.
02:09 I'm so excited to work with him.
02:11 I'll be a fan of him when I get out there.
02:14 That'll be wonderful.
02:16 I'm getting the babies. I want the babies to come down.
02:19 And...
02:21 I'm doing something for everyone.
02:23 We're doing all right.
02:24 So no love?
02:26 What's that love?
02:28 Fans were obsessed with your character in "Fast & Stony."
02:31 Obviously the director...
02:33 That was love.
02:35 Somebody slapped me on the ass.
02:37 [laughter]
02:39 The director talked about your character evolving in the next film,
02:42 in the next Fast film.
02:44 Is there a different approach that you're going to take?
02:46 I know people were in love with your outrageousness
02:49 and serious nature of Donkey Kong.
02:51 Yeah, we've got a lot of ideas.
02:54 It's going to be fucked up, right?
02:56 And what can you say about Minecraft?
02:59 Nothing.
03:00 Come on, give me something.
03:02 Virginia Department is amazing.
03:04 [laughter]
03:06 All my aloha.
03:08 Thanks, Eve.
03:09 But there's a way to save our precious soils.
03:12 It's called regeneration.
03:15 The moment that everything changed for me
03:18 in terms of, you know,
03:20 the environmental thing was
03:22 it went out more quickly.
03:24 The creators of this 20 years ago now
03:27 is letting us know that we've had 15 to 20 years
03:30 in one of those years.
03:32 So as people are talking about what we can do
03:35 to effect change in the next 15 years,
03:37 we don't have that.
03:39 And it feels perilous, and it feels devastating.
03:42 But what I love about this film
03:44 is it points us to where we actually can save our land
03:47 and the answers are in the soil.
03:49 And that we have real, everyday,
03:52 American heroes in the world.
03:54 That's why Brown is right behind me.
03:56 Because it is the regenerative farmers of this country
03:59 who are going to change everything.
04:01 And what they're doing
04:04 to protect all of us in future generations
04:08 is pretty remarkable.
04:09 We need to remember that as a consumer,
04:12 we have the most power.
04:14 If we say we won't buy from conventional funds,
04:19 if we make a change in how we purchase our food,
04:24 money is the thing that's going to change all of this.
04:27 We can get corporations to change everything
04:30 if we demand the change.
04:32 So we have the power.
04:34 Paul, we say "Snow Queen" is on Big Little Lies,
04:37 season 3.
04:38 What's your thoughts about it?
04:40 Is it written yet?
04:42 Oh, I don't know the details.
04:44 I just know that if it's meant to be,
04:47 I will be there.
04:48 Those are my dearest friends.
04:50 So I'm going to fight like hell
04:53 to save your future,
04:54 and my children.
04:56 For me, it's such an important moment.
04:58 In my early 20s, I started connecting the dots
05:02 between what we do in the planet,
05:06 how we eat ourselves,
05:07 how we treat animals,
05:08 how that indirectly or directly affects our bodies as well.
05:13 Just the interconnection between all of it.
05:15 I think that for me was kind of like the "aha" chapter.
05:20 This was not necessarily a part of my childhood.
05:23 This was an evolution in a way that I could see as well
05:27 learning in a lifelong state.
05:30 But it's become a way of living so much so
05:34 that I can't even really point out--
05:37 I was talking to somebody the other day,
05:39 and I was talking about worm composting,
05:40 and they were like, "It's like rain barrels."
05:42 And they were like, "You do that!"
05:44 And it's just such a part of our everyday life.
05:48 Regenerative ag can ultimately reset the planet.
05:55 We can dial back the disastrous results of climate disruption,
06:01 particularly going forward,
06:03 and we can build a flourishing--
06:06 We are literally going--
06:07 We're actually not going--
06:08 We're doing it right now.
06:09 We are literally building
06:10 the single largest carbon capture food economy in the world,
06:14 from the Carolina coast to the California coast.
