Years before Sam Raimi ushered in the age of the superhero with his "Spider-Man" trilogy, director James Cameron also had New York's resident web-slinger in his sights. Sadly, we never did get to see Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of Peter Parker — and these are the reasons why.
