00:00 Could you tell me what you love about Mosborough and living here please?

00:03 I was growing up in Mosborough from being a baby.

00:07 It was a village life and it's changed since then.

00:12 But growing up everybody knew everybody, everybody was friendly.

00:16 You could leave all your doors open and everything and there was plenty to do in Mosborough.

00:20 Is it still a bit like that?

00:24 Yes, yes sometimes. Yes it is in certain ways.

00:28 Older people will always say good morning and what have you.

00:30 But then even younger people are getting to say good morning and what have you.

00:35 And now because there's a big community centre there's loads of people to

00:39 Mosborough to do young, old and in between.

00:43 So that's good it's still got that activity what used to be in

00:46 it's still a community as it was in those days.

00:51 Could you tell me what you love and about living in Mosborough please?

00:54 I like all the walks.

00:58 You feel really rural and out in the countryside just two minutes away from your own home.

01:02 Plumleigh and Ekington Woods and Ridgeway

01:07 all easy to walk through, through farm fields and lovely wooded bits.

01:10 And it's just like being isolated and in the country.

01:13 But at the same time you've got such good access to the M1, the M18

01:18 and shopping complexes like Crystal Peaks and Meadowhall.

01:23 Really easy to get to so you've got the benefit of both worlds really.

01:27 Are there lots of good shops in the village as well?

01:30 Not many shops in the village anymore there used to be but it's all

01:33 nail bars and barber shops now. They are building a new co-op

01:39 but unfortunately we lost a pub to be able to build that.

01:44 Are the pubs nice here?

01:45 The pubs, they were nice and there were a lot of them.

01:48 And now there's only a couple left.

01:51 And what about this one here? Where are you here now today?

01:54 This one is Craftworks. This is a new micro pub

01:58 that's just been built on what I think was the car spare shop.

02:01 And it's really lovely. In the daytime it's a coffee shop

02:05 and as you can see it's attractive surroundings.

02:08 Lots of people come in to meet for a chat and a coffee

02:11 and then in the evening it's a small pub. So this place is lovely.

02:17 Could you tell me what you like about living in Mosborough?

02:20 Yeah it's got a lovely community feel about it. I moved here about five years ago.

02:25 It's got quite a few local shops, local businesses

02:30 and it's got green spaces and a lovely little school as well.

02:35 But yeah, Mosborough is just in a lovely community feel.
