00:00 Beerfest has been a continuous fantastic festival in northern Tasmania for the last 14 years

00:13 and it's just simply going from strength to strength.

00:17 And of course it's not just all about beer, there is a great food and beverage offering

00:22 from all around the state and indeed the festival attracts people from all around the state.

00:28 In fact over 60% of attendees to Beerfest are from interstate so it really is an excellent

00:36 opportunity to showcase all that Launceston has to offer.

00:39 There's a huge amount of interstate tourists in the city so we're getting a really strong

00:44 pick up at the last minute.

00:47 We're watching the tickets closely because we're getting close to selling out.

00:50 VIP's maybe got two tickets left.

00:54 The family bundles have been really popular.

00:56 So we're on final ticket release and we're imagining a sell out which will be 10,000

01:01 people across the evening.

01:02 From the City of Launceston Council point of view I think it's amazing to have seen

01:05 something that's grown from Launceston and it's grown internationally, it's grown nationally

01:11 and now it's here again continuing to grow.

01:14 And what's great about it is that James and the team at Beerfest continue to listen to

01:17 the community, they continue to grow it in a way that it's something that does have something

01:22 for everyone as has been mentioned from the comedy to the kids to something at 12 for

01:27 the fireworks and then the 9.30.

01:29 So it's really great to see how that has evolved and how it continues to contribute to the

01:34 wider Launceston Tasmanian community.

01:37 The amount of money that it injects obviously into the economy playing a part to really

01:42 hone in on those travellers that are here from interstate.

01:45 Checking out the beautiful surroundings that Launceston Tasmania has to offer to put on

01:49 a premium event for that to sit in stay as they stay here in Launceston.
