00:00 Good morning to all of us.
00:03 This is our update regarding the weather forecast for this Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
00:09 Currently, the wind is blowing from the Luzon and Easterlies areas,
00:16 and from the Visayas and Mindanao areas.
00:19 And as early as this morning, we are seeing cloud clusters or red clouds
00:24 that can bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
00:27 This is also the case in some parts of Davao Region, Oxargen and Bicol Region.
00:33 These are the rain clouds that are coming from isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,
00:40 and we did not expect that it would last all afternoon.
00:43 And so far, we still do not have a high low pressure area in and outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:49 The chance of a storm will still be low within the next three days.
00:55 And for the weather forecast for Kalakhang Luzon today,
00:59 we are expecting generally cloudy skies and rain showers in Cagayan Valley,
01:04 Apayaw, Calinga, Aurora, and Quezon Province.
01:09 And because of this, our countrymen are still being careful
01:12 because it has been raining for a few days in the provinces we are mentioning,
01:15 and it is still possible for floods and landslides.
01:18 Please be alert for the risk of floods and landslides.
01:23 Here in Bicol Region and Palawan, it is possible for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
01:30 And in the southern part of Luzon, including Metro Manila,
01:34 isolated light rains or low rainfall will occur especially during the early hours
01:39 because of the effect of the cold weather.
01:42 The average temperature in Laueg is 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
01:47 In Tugaygaraw, it is 21 to 28.
01:49 Here in Baguio City, it is 16 to 23. Metro Manila, 24 to 30.
01:54 In Tagaytay, it is 22 to 28. In Legazpi, it is 24 to 31.
01:58 And here in Puerto Princesa and in Calayana Islands, it is 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:06 And for the weather forecast for Kalakhang Visayas and Mindanao,
02:12 we are expecting generally fair weather conditions in a large part of Visayas and Mindanao.
02:17 It will still be rainy season, with light and low clouds.
02:20 In the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao, as well as in Bicol Region,
02:24 because of the easterly winds throughout the afternoon, it will be mostly thunderstorms.
02:30 Although we hope that the rain showers and localised thunderstorms will not last throughout the afternoon.
02:36 And it is still possible for severe thunderstorm events to occur,
02:39 that is why we are continuing to monitor the updates issued by our regional services divisions,
02:45 especially in Visayas, Mindanao, and in the southern Luzon area.
02:49 Because of the localised thunderstorms, we are issuing rainfall and thunderstorm advisories.
02:55 The temperature in Iloilo is 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:00 In Metro Cebu and Tacloban, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:05 Here in Cagayan de Oro, it is 24 to 30.
03:08 Metro Davao is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:12 And in the Muangga City, it is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:17 And for the weather in our region,
03:21 our gale warning is still high in the Bataanes, Cagayan, Baboyan Islands, Isabela, and Ilocos Norte.
03:28 Although the weather is mild, the effects of the easterly winds are still weakening,
03:33 so the thunderstorms are slowly decreasing.
03:36 But it is still dangerous to go out to the areas we mentioned,
03:40 so as much as possible, do not go out with fishing boats and small sea vehicles.
03:46 And likewise, our fellow countrymen are being careful to go out with all the towns in Luzon,
03:51 as well as the towns in Visayas and Mindanao,
03:54 because it is still possible for the thunderstorms to reach their peak
03:58 due to the winds here in Luzon and the easterly winds in Visayas and Mindanao.
04:05 And for our three-day weather outlook in the major cities of our country,
04:10 starting tomorrow, on Thursday, until Saturday,
04:13 we expect that the easterly winds will continue to blow,
04:16 although when Saturday comes, the easterly winds will slowly decrease,
04:20 which can only affect the northern part of Luzon, along with Baguio City.
04:25 Meanwhile, here in the southern Luzon area, when Saturday comes,
04:30 isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will occur,
04:33 including Metro Manila, most of Calabarzon, and the Mimaropa area.
04:38 Here in the Bicol region, Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan,
04:42 isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will occur,
04:46 and the winds from the Pacific Ocean, or what we call the Easterleys,
04:51 will continue to blow, and the rains will still be frequent
04:53 in the northern part of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in particular,
04:59 including the Legazpi City.
05:03 And our sunrise is at 6.19 in the morning,
05:07 and the afternoon sun will set at 5.35 in the evening.
