00:00 We've got a fair good population of crocodiles in our district, so during floodwaters and
00:08 that they tend to move around.
00:10 The numbers are increasing and obviously they're looking for new homes for themselves, so finding
00:15 an opportunity with increased water, they're moving around.
00:18 So this fellow, he just happened to move into the main street of town, so we had to do something
00:22 with it.
00:23 You know, we're always getting a report of a sighting here and we are shifting crocodiles
00:27 now and again.
00:29 They're just looking for habitats of their own, as I indicated, we believe that crocodile
00:34 numbers are increasing and they're just moving further and further afield.
00:39 So when I say that we have a healthy population of it, so as you know, we're on the coast
00:45 between Townsville and Cairns and we have the Hinchinbrook Channel in our shire and
00:50 basically that's all mangrove habitat and that's where the home of the crocodiles and
00:55 they just come up the river systems and that, looking for a bit of new country.
00:59 So yeah, we're not strangers to them, put it that way.
