00:00 Welcome.
00:04 We go live to Venezuela, to the Venezuela Tora campaign.
00:08 They are innocents and we are here, Venezuelans, defending the legacy that we are leaving to
00:22 future generations, as Venezuela wasn't given their independence.
00:30 Yesterday we saw people decided, determined to defend what it belongs to.
00:40 We saw people very happy, with laughter, and so that's why we continue following, praising
00:51 the people and we praised the republic plan because of the professionalism of the process.
01:04 So we have been witnessing a lot of joy, music, thrilled, and so we are very hopeful for the
01:17 future.
01:18 Yesterday the people speak loud and clear.
01:23 It was overwhelming.
01:24 The Venezuelan case, the top authority is the people.
01:32 This has been the seventh referendum and according to statistics this was the biggest participative
01:43 referendum in both in the drill and in the actual referendum.
01:53 I think this campaign was very atypical because it was very pedagogical.
02:00 The whole process generated different dynamics.
02:04 That's why it has a bigger force.
02:10 It has been a very deep analysis and very calm analysis.
02:17 And today the people know more about this case than before.
02:24 And so over 10 million people participated on the polls and so if we have to evaluate
02:37 what this campaign generated inside of the families regarding knowledge, well it is a
02:47 clear mandate.
02:49 When the people of Venezuela speak loud and clear, the government chose to obey the people.
02:59 And so all leaders are going to comply with the people's willingness.
03:08 And today now there is a plan on the Guyana Esequiba to include that territory into the
03:23 plans of Venezuela.
03:25 The Toda Venezuela campaign has been very fruitful.
03:34 And so we all Venezuelans have to push for this new beginning.
03:41 I am very happy for what the campaign was.
03:47 Yesterday I voted very early in my town and I greeted all the ones in queues.
03:57 And I just greeted revolutionary people and others, and other people's parties.
04:12 And so it has to be there.
04:16 There is no difference in Venezuela regarding welfare, economic affairs.
04:29 So we all Venezuelans have to learn to work together and respect the differences.
04:41 And so we don't hate each other.
04:45 It is just natural we have certain differences.
04:48 So I think it's a big opportunity.
04:53 Responding just briefly to your question.
04:59 All governmental entities have to present a working agenda for the development of this
05:09 state.
05:10 So if someone would like to change this line, there has to be another consultative referendum
05:21 for it.
05:23 95% was the lowest question.
05:30 And even on the door of my house, it was a map drawn by my kids.
05:45 So this has been a very inclusive process.
05:50 Most children and teenagers and youngsters also participated there.
06:01 So we have seen the real truth on the streets, on those elections.
06:11 That's the deep Venezuela, the Venezuela that loves.
06:15 So we have to bet on unity.
06:19 So we have the responsibility to go forward on this matter.
06:23 Gabriela Zibori from Telesur.
06:28 Hi.
06:29 Two questions.
06:31 Would you address, broaden the-- would you broaden these inherent differences?
06:57 And how would you place this fifth question differently?
07:06 And the second question is that the Guyanese government is very aggressive yet.
07:14 So our communities are just waving the Venezuelan flags.
07:19 That's a very definitive answer.
07:24 I have been analysing what the Guyanese leaders have been doing, and they are not able to
07:31 present any document, any map to defend their position.
07:39 On the other side, Venezuela has been able to present lots of documents, maps, to sustain
07:47 our position, to stick to our point.
07:51 So the Guyana, well, I would like to ask if a Guyanese president wasn't afraid of the
08:02 referendum, why did they intend to press to remove the referendum, to stop the referendum
08:11 at the International Court of Justice?
08:15 And so after that, they say they weren't afraid of the referendum.
08:23 That doesn't make sense.
08:26 So the Venezuelan government has all legal reasons to defend its territory, and we are
08:33 doing it very democratically.
08:40 So as we follow our constitution, we just summoned to this referendum, which is very,
08:52 we are just applying democracy, and over 97% of the people said they agree on defending
09:02 the Ezequiel territory.
09:06 So that's the way we get in an agreement.
09:15 And so the Guyanese government didn't want to get to reach into an agreement, because
09:23 they just violated the Geneva agreement.
09:28 So we just are responding peacefully to Guyana's provocations.
09:41 We have been making efforts to keep united, because we are just interested in solving
09:53 this conflict peacefully, in compliance with the Geneva agreement.
10:01 So the Geneva agreement, it's just a space of debate with an amicable resolution.
10:12 The third last question is from Reynaldos Gomez.
10:17 Good morning.
10:20 I would like you to reflect on something.
10:28 Well, it's an analogy between what this referendum -- well, I would like to ask you, you governor,
10:50 you talked about national unity and about the campaign command.
11:06 Is this victory on the referendum could be taken as a victory?
11:30 Well, there are small sectors in Venezuela that dreamed of violence in Venezuela.
11:42 We have certain traders full of hatred, but that's not the track we want.
11:53 The track we want is the conciliation, consensus, peace, is to go peacefully to cast our votes
12:01 of dialogue, of construction, of consensus.
12:06 So we are people who think differently, but we agree on this issue.
12:17 And I am convinced that the Venezuelans who love are the majority.
12:24 So we have to prove it, we have to act accordingly for reaching that peace, for reaching peace.
12:35 And so in times of hate, love is just an obligation.
12:44 And so Genesis has been doing a wonderful work on social media, and sometimes social
12:56 media just exaggerate barbarism and hate.
13:08 So we have to achieve to reveal the actual reality on that social media.
13:22 And so that question has to do with not only with the referendum, but also to the future
13:32 of humanity.
13:34 Where would humanity go?
13:39 Well, the consultative referendum, and the Venezuelan people just cast their votes to
13:54 defend.
13:59 So Venezuela loves in itself defense, and so lots of countries, including Venezuela,
14:14 fight of the Spanish empire and all empires.
14:22 So we want the Esequibo because it is ours, but we just defend their territory with love
14:31 and peace.
14:35 So this is an unprecedented, transcendental issue that increases our national feeling.
14:52 And so we want to construct a nation based on equity, solidarity, peace.
15:00 And we are very glad of experiencing this consultative referendum full of unity.
15:12 So there is a future in Venezuela because there is a statement expressed in the votes
15:21 yesterday.
15:22 So that's the great message that all Venezuelan people are very excited because of having
15:33 participated in these historical votes.
15:40 So never before we have been so much determined and so much thrilled on the defense of our
15:51 territory.
15:52 So the eighth start of our flag is the start of the Guyana Esequibo.
16:00 So the Bolivarian people were just standing up for their territory as Simon Bolivar would
16:10 do.
16:13 So we just protected our homeland, and so love is the root, and peace is the only way
16:24 out of the Venezuelan people that follows its history to conquer its integrity and its
16:33 territorial integrity.
16:36 Long live Bolivar, long live Venezuela.
16:38 Thank you very much.
16:39 The message has been clear, peace and love is the root of the Venezuelan people.
16:51 We were listening to authorities from the Venezuela Toda campaign who were responsible
16:55 for the consultative referendum, which took place on Sunday, and they offered statements
17:01 in the aftermath of this successful referendum.
17:04 One of the campaign authorities, Hector Rodriguez, used the opportunity to highlight once again
17:09 the rightful claim of Venezuela, as well as its right to carry out this referendum, which
17:14 is part of the democratic life of the country.
17:16 Other points made included the fact that Guyana has already breached the clauses made at the
17:21 Geneva agreement, and that after the overwhelming response of the referendum, the state will
17:27 have to comply with the mandate of its people.
17:30 We'll keep you posted in upcoming news.
17:34 Tune in for more.
