00:00 What's weird is that they found this strain of swine flu,

00:04 H1N2 flu type A influenza virus,

00:08 that's normally seen circulating in pigs,

00:11 in a human, in a surgery in North Yorkshire.

00:15 The person who has suffered from it is recovering well.

00:18 It was a mild illness, which is good to hear,

00:20 but they'll need to do contact tracing on people

00:23 that person's been in contact with.

00:24 This is part of the general flu surveillance,

00:27 which we do all the time.

00:28 But it's the first of 50 cases in the last 20 years

00:34 of swine flu, which normally circulates in pigs.

00:37 So vets have been notified to look out

00:39 for any illness in their pig herds.

00:42 And of course, we'll be looking for contacts of this person

00:44 to see if it's been transmitted already.

00:47 But it was a mild illness, but something of interest

00:49 at the moment.

00:50 So we shouldn't be worried.

00:51 Absolutely not.

00:51 Just keep an eye.
