00:04 The latest negotiations with Go North East and Unite the Union have collapsed again.
00:09 Workers initially rejected a 10.3% pay rise that was offered by the company, which has
00:14 caused the strikes to continue indefinitely.
00:17 Go North East have started a skeleton service and the current ballot for strike action would
00:21 mean that the strikes would end on the 22nd of December, but talks are set to continue
00:26 next week between union members and the bus operator.
00:29 The School Street scheme at Hotspur Primary School in Newcastle will now be made permanent.
00:34 The scheme stops motorists driving and parking near the school during drop-off and pick-up
00:38 times to help improve health and air pollution.
00:41 And finally, Tyne Tunnel have announced that the northbound tunnel will be closed for a
00:44 few days for maintenance and emergency training.
00:47 The southbound tunnel will be used to travel south and north whilst work goes ahead until
00:52 the 27th of November.
