  • last year
ily Gladstone shares a heartfelt wrap speech to her Killers of the Flower Moon cast and crew.

Killers of the Flower Moon is now playing in theaters everywhere.

At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), “Killers of the Flower Moon” is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal. Also starring Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion, Killers of the Flower Moon is directed by Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Scorsese, based on David Grann’s best-selling book.

Hailing from Apple Studios, Killers of the Flower Moon was produced alongside Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions and Appian Way. Producers are Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Daniel Lupi, with DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Adam Somner, Marianne Bower, Lisa Frechette, John Atwood, Shea Kammer and Niels Juul serving as executive producers.

00:00 I think I said to him the first time that I walked into this, just, I don't know what
00:07 it is about this job or this calling to be a storyteller, but I know every time I come
00:18 into it with me and then I leave and something's different, something's changed, and it's hard
00:23 to necessarily say what that is, but every single person here, the heart that you've
00:28 put into it, it's completely changed me as a human being. I feel like I have a home here,
00:36 which I'll be back to quite a bit. And I've said it to several of you too in conversation,
00:46 it's not since I was a teenager renting out basement spaces and art galleries, just making
00:54 with my friends for the sake of doing it, have I felt such equal and open and loving
01:03 collaboration and craftsmanship, which is something pretty remarkable at this level,
01:11 because this is a first for me. But yeah, I believe in every storyteller here, I believe
01:19 in every craftsperson here, I believe in every beating heart and soul here. This is really
01:24 special. Thank you all so much for bringing everything to this, and I'll remember it forever,
01:31 and we'll all have it forever. Thank you.
