Sheffield Christmas Market 2023 is officially open as traders say why they love coming to the city.

00:02 It's been, I think it's what, this is day two, isn't it?

00:03 So, are you excited?

00:07 - Yeah, yeah, I'm super excited for the Christmas market.

00:09 It's actually my first day working the Christmas market.

00:13 And yeah, I'm just really excited.

00:15 - Yeah, I mean, obviously it's in a beautiful situation.

00:17 We're really looking forward to meeting the people

00:19 at Sheffield.

00:20 Obviously we've got loads of free samples

00:23 for people to try, so we want people to come over,

00:25 try our products, and hopefully they'll purchase it.

00:27 It'll be a perfect Christmas day, lift the spirits up.

00:32 - Yeah, no, yeah, no.

00:34 Christmas market in Sheffield, obviously pretty vibrant.

00:37 See loads of lovely faces, and yeah,

00:41 just hoping to sell some products, really.

00:47 - Tell me about the Christmas market, are you excited for it?

00:56 - Yeah, this year I think everybody's looking forward to it.

01:00 It seems to be quite popular again from yesterday's trade.

01:04 I think everybody now is associating Christmas

01:06 with Yorkshire puddings, which is good for me.

01:09 We always look forward to coming to the market.

01:12 It's a nice thing for us to finish our year off.

01:15 - Well, what's the, 'cause you've been

01:20 for a number of years now, what's kind of like

01:22 the pullback, what's the, 'cause it's a lovely community.

01:24 - I just think it's quality, the quality of everything.

01:27 You know, we get repeat customers.

01:29 We have a customer that's come with us

01:31 for the last five years now,

01:32 they've done the Yorkshire puddings.

01:34 They just seem to be getting more popular every year,

01:36 so people obviously enjoy them,

01:38 and they're coming back and buying again off of us this year.
