00:00 Now Ford's next move on the way to globalization is something it calls "One Ford."

00:16 That is, most of the cars you can buy in Europe you'll be able to buy in the United States.

00:20 Ford hopes that it will start to have the success in North America that it has had in

00:26 Europe for the past several years.

00:27 One key component in that plan is the Ford Fiesta, which is smaller than the Focus, and

00:33 launches in the United States in the 2010 calendar year, again about a year after Europe

00:38 gets that car.

00:39 This is one European Ford that, unfortunately, we won't get.

00:43 This is the Ford Focus RS.

00:45 It features the 2.5 liter turbocharged five cylinder from Volvo.

00:50 This car is designed to compete with cars like the Mitsubishi Evo X and the Subaru

00:55 WRX STI, and it does so quite well.

00:58 This is the second generation Ford Ka, that's K-A. It's actually smaller than the Ford Fiesta,

01:04 and so far it's not coming to North America.

01:07 Unlike the first generation Ka, this one is based on the Fiat Cinquecento platform, but

01:12 from there Ford takes over with its own engines, its own body, of course.

01:16 Ford is emphasizing personalization with this car.

01:19 That is, make it a more appealing kind of car to the entry level buyer.

01:23 It has three paint and interior schemes.

01:26 This one is called the Digital Art.

01:28 There's another one called Tattoo, and a third that's called Grand Prix.

01:33 One more car, a one-off special Ka called the Camille, is a version of the car that's

01:38 appearing in the next James Bond movie.

01:41 So why won't Ford bring the car to the United States?

01:44 Well, for now it's going to wait to see how the Fiesta does.

01:46 If a car that small can sell well, then we might see something even smaller like this

01:51 in a few years.
