2010 New York: 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan

Witness the return of the Subaru WRX STI Sedan at the 2010 New York Auto Show.

00:00 Back in 2008, Subaru shocked fans of the high performance WRX STI by offering the car only

00:12 as a hatchback.

00:13 Now that didn't go over quite as well as they were hoping, so now for 2011, the sedan is

00:18 back.

00:19 It gets a new wide body look and a big ol' wing on the back, just like the STIs of the

00:23 Orp.

00:24 And it even gets a little new treatment up in the nose.

00:28 Now the standard WRX gets the same body treatment, but the STI keeps its 305 horsepower turbocharged

00:36 four cylinder engine.

00:38 But Subaru's done some work underneath on suspension and given it stiffer bushings,

00:42 springs and anti-roll bars.

00:44 So even though there's not any more power, Subaru says this is the quickest STI they've

00:48 ever built.

00:49 We expect to see the new STI sedan on sale later this year, and for those of you who

00:54 did like the hatchback, it'll stay in the lineup as well.
