00:00 On the issue of Liberal International,
00:02 as you can see, we have never been a member.
00:07 We were initially an associate,
00:10 but because of their decisions,
00:14 including the recognition of LGBT and Israeli identity,
00:19 we did not become a member.
00:21 I hope that this will not be politicized.
00:23 I was present at the Liberal International conference,
00:26 which is a new information, in Cairo.
00:29 I gave the main speech.
00:32 But at that time,
00:34 besides the representative of the Egyptian government,
00:36 at that time, Hussein Mubarak, the Minister was present,
00:39 also Ayman Nour, a former head of the opposition,
00:41 who became a candidate for president against Hussein Mubarak,
00:44 and Wakil Ikhwan, Muslim Brotherhood.
00:50 And after that, I met with the Ikhwan Council,
00:54 at that time, led by Mahdi Akif,
00:57 the chief of the council, and Mursi,
01:00 Dr. Mursi, before he became president.
01:03 They followed my speech.
01:05 And Mahdi Akif was congratulated.
01:07 He said, "Anwar, be present at the Liberal International
01:10 and state our firm position
01:13 against cruelty, giving rights to the people,
01:16 and also protesting against Palestine."
01:18 So, imagine, it is different from our opinion.
01:23 I was present, right.
01:24 We were present at the United Nations.
01:27 The United Nations is an Israeli member.
01:30 It was recognized by the UN.
01:33 But we were present as a member.
01:35 It doesn't mean we have anything to do with Israel.
01:38 We have no connection with Israel.
01:40 So, the Liberal International,
01:42 but it is true what Muhammad said,
01:45 because of its founding,
01:47 the issue of LGBT,
01:48 we asked to clarify, but we cannot clarify.
01:50 It was brought up in the Bureau of Politics.
01:52 It is about Israel.
01:53 Therefore, we broke off the relationship.
01:55 And it was informed by the Minister of Communications,
01:59 as the head of the Department of Defense,
02:01 and informed that it was removed.
02:03 It means that there is a right.
02:05 But if you ask,
02:07 in relation to Brookings,
02:10 to several international bodies,
02:12 that I was present,
02:13 including the so-called
02:15 "Muasasah Mustakbal",
02:18 Foundation for the Future.
02:20 I was present.
02:22 I was the spokesman.
02:24 But there is a right.
02:26 When the problem of Israeli education arose,
02:29 I said that was our limit.
02:31 But I continued to debate all other issues.
02:35 For example, in ASEAN,
02:38 the education of the countries is different.
02:41 Filipinos are more inclined to agree with American education,
02:46 even though it is not as strict.
02:48 But we, in the relationship of two issues,
02:50 are still good with Filipinos.
02:52 In the issue of Palestine,
02:54 only Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei
02:57 seem to be very strong in agreement.
02:59 The others we have a relationship,
03:00 and we ask,
03:01 as I met with the new Prime Minister of Thailand,
03:04 Setar,
03:05 I ask, if possible,
03:06 not to be too strong
03:08 with the establishment of the American stomach in the Palestine issue,
03:11 because this will be offensive and cause concern
03:14 among some of the people of Thailand and Malaysia.
03:17 Thank you.
