00:00 You have so much pain in you.
00:02 You-- you--
00:03 [GROANING]
00:05 --so much rage.

00:09 Marvel Studios just unveiled a moody and violent trailer
00:12 for Echo, its first TVMA-rated show.
00:15 The series also marks Marvel's first
00:17 to debut simultaneously on both Disney+ and its sister
00:20 streaming service, Hulu.
00:21 [GROANING]
00:24 [SCREAMING]
00:27 [SCREAMING]
00:31 The show stars Alec Wilcox reprising her Hawkeye role
00:33 as Maya Lopez, AKA Echo, an indigenous character who is
00:37 deaf and communicates with ASL.
00:40 You and I--
00:40 [BUZZING]
00:42 --are the same.
00:43 [SCREAMING]
00:46 In some ways, Echo looks like a successor to Daredevil,
00:49 the violent and beloved series that
00:50 streamed on Netflix from 2015 to 2019
00:53 and was made by Marvel TV, not Marvel Studios.
00:56 Both Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil,
00:58 and Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, appear in the show.
01:01 I see everything that you are.
01:03 I always have.
01:08 Last week, The Hollywood Reporter
01:10 was among a group of press who previewed several scenes
01:12 from Echo on the Disney lot.
01:13 The studio's head of streaming, television, and animation,
01:16 Brad Winterbaum, said at the time,
01:18 "It's a little on the grittier side for Marvel
01:20 and shows the breadth of what Marvel is capable of.
01:22 It is sort of a new direction for the brand,
01:24 especially for Disney+.
01:26 So who's the monster?
