00:00 Thank you, Mr. Mirza, for watching CreateUp with me, Prisa Sombrato and my colleague, Vicky Adrian.
00:05 And to discuss the topic this time, we will discuss about the connection to the ecosystem through applications
00:11 that have been connected through video conference.
00:13 We have Ms. Mirta Khairunisa, who is the co-founder and also the CEO at Treko.
00:17 How are you, Ms. Mirta?
00:19 Hello, Mr. Prisa, Mr. Vicky. How are you?
00:23 I'm fine.
00:24 Thank you for joining.
00:26 Ms. Mirta, how do you see the awareness of the Indonesian community about environmental friendly practices?
00:35 Indonesia is actually the third lowest country in the world in terms of environmental friendly country.
00:42 But the awareness of the community has actually increased.
00:45 So now, social media and individuals also play a role in amplifying good messages.
00:52 In addition, climate crisis also directly affects the change of individuals.
00:57 Like us, now it's hot, the temperature in Jabodetabek can be 36-37 degrees Celsius, etc.
01:02 From our research, in the age group of 18-30 years,
01:06 because we are more aware, it is becoming more open to voice about climate change
01:11 and the impact is that the awareness is increasing in Indonesia.
01:15 What is the reason why the community is now making an effort based on environmental friendly practices?
01:22 We found that some people who are already aware are confused about the products and services available.
01:29 Some have found the right product but forgot the name of the store to buy the product.
01:35 Some also feel difficult, have to install a lot of waste recycling applications first
01:39 to know the areas that are covered by the waste recycling service.
01:42 But besides that, awareness of the brand or the type of waste recycling products is also not well-spotted.
01:47 So, it is not yet known to the various layers of the community.
01:50 Something like that.
01:51 Okay, then who is the solution offered by TREKO?
01:54 So, TREKO is trying to offer a one-stop service for the community to do environmental friendly practices.
02:01 So, the focus is so that the community can get an idea of the carbon emissions that are emitted.
02:06 At least the community can know the carbon emissions that have to be offset, paid, or saved.
02:12 What services are provided there as an example?
02:17 So, in TREKO, the services we provide start from tracking carbon emissions
02:22 that are produced from the transportation used to know the emissions that are emitted.
02:27 So, when we ride a train, bus, motorcycle, or car,
02:30 and then when we know the number of carbon emissions emitted,
02:34 we can find sustainability products and sustainability services
02:37 such as waste recycling and tree planting to reduce and offset the carbon emissions.
02:42 So, the products and services are also numbered.
02:45 We can know how much we can save from the carbon emissions that we used when we were transported.
02:52 Okay, this is very exciting.
02:55 Usually, for the carbon emissions,
02:57 we have to pay for the "sin" that we have committed.
03:02 Carbon emissions are usually based on corporations, but this is directly to the community.
03:07 Individually.
03:08 Then, how do we access the community for sustainable products?
03:14 And what is the reception of users so far?
03:17 We will continue the next session, Mba Mirta.
03:19 Okay.
03:20 We will be back soon.
03:22 We are still talking with Mba Mirta from TREKO
03:25 about how to access the community for sustainable products
03:28 and how to receive users so far on TREKO, Mba Mirta.
03:32 Okay, so from some of the users we have asked,
03:37 the users feel helped by TREKO
03:39 because they can make the most of their time to find products
03:44 and use the sustainability services that suit them.
03:47 And besides that, they also know the image of the carbon emissions they emit
03:51 because so far there has not been any live tracking.
03:55 So, when they know, they feel like, "Oh, yes.
03:58 I have to pay for my carbon emissions by buying or planting trees
04:03 that fit the appropriate amount."
04:07 So, because we just released this application version
04:11 with one-stop service feature in July 2003,
04:14 we are still in the user acquisition process.
04:16 So, we hope more and more TREKO users can be helped
04:20 in carrying out environmental-friendly practices.
04:23 Okay.
04:24 So, if we can see how far we have come,
04:28 through smartwatch,
04:32 we can use TREKO to see how many emissions we have emitted
04:37 by driving and so on.
04:39 And there is the data,
04:41 the choices, for example, how many cars you drive,
04:44 how many personal cars you drive.
04:45 Is that right, Mba?
04:46 That's right.
04:48 How many producers and products have been combined in TREKO
04:52 and the value for the producers and products that are continuing to be combined,
04:55 as explained earlier,
04:57 can see the emissions, the target, what's next?
05:00 Yes. Okay.
05:01 So, from my point of view,
05:03 the producers and products are helped in terms of
05:06 increasing exposure to the users using it.
05:09 Because TREKO amplifies the message.
05:11 Besides that, it also increases their income in terms of business.
05:14 And also for the environment, they know,
05:17 "Oh, that means the users tend to buy this product
05:20 because it feels more efficient in terms of emissions."
05:23 And for now, since June 2023,
05:27 we have four partners who have been working together.
05:29 There is Evowear, a household environmental product,
05:32 such as rice straw, rice straw, etc.
05:35 Then there is Yuk Pakai Lagi,
05:38 which is a recycled plastic product,
05:40 which is an accessory and daily wear, such as a wallet, pouch, card holder, lanyard,
05:44 and also there is a trash here.
05:46 It is a recycled cotton surface,
05:48 and there is also a forest protection,
05:50 which is to plant trees
05:52 according to the amount of carbon emissions.
05:54 So, there are various types.
05:56 Not only Minecraft, but there are also pojanggul, mango, etc.
05:59 But there are carbon emissions calculations.
06:01 And in the future, we plan to add more partners,
06:03 so that we can provide more users' needs.
06:05 And our target is actually
06:07 to be the top of mind
06:10 for the people and business owners
06:12 if we want to do environmentally friendly practices
06:14 that are in TREKO.
06:16 Okay, how does TREKO get funds?
06:19 What is the business model like, Mbak Myrtha?
06:22 Okay, for now, we use the business model B2C,
06:26 so we get revenue from the affiliate link
06:28 to get commission per transaction from our partner.
06:32 And when the traction is high,
06:34 and we buy from TREKO,
06:36 we can use it for the results.
06:38 Then in the future, our nearest plan is to run the B2B model,
06:41 so to manage the end-to-end sustainability cycle
06:44 or environmentally friendly practices
06:46 in the food and beverages industry.
06:48 Because we know that they have significant waste,
06:51 and we can help them by helping in the waste recycling,
06:55 and providing environmentally friendly products
06:58 to be used in the food and beverages industry.
07:00 Okay, if you want to use TREKO,
