00:22 Front running of course, but let's settle in.

00:24 The NBA champions of last year, the Denver Nuggets,

00:27 leaders in the clubhouse tied with the Phoenix Suns

00:30 at a plus 270 price.

00:31 Give me the outlook for the Nuggets

00:33 and their chance to repeat how hungry they will be

00:35 and maybe some of the hurdles they'll have

00:37 in the West this year, coach.

00:39 - Well, the hurdle is Donnie,

00:40 is they've become the hunted, not the hunter.

00:43 I mean, let's be honest with you.

00:44 They're the ones that held up the trophy

00:46 at the end of the year,

00:47 but they got some things to worry about here.

00:50 I think the Bruce Brown, Jeff Green losing him,

00:53 I think they could hurt them more than people think.

00:55 It's about the depth.

00:56 A guy like Christian Brown's gonna have to step up

00:58 tremendously.

00:59 He did have some good moments during the NBA finals.

01:02 I think particularly, I think it was game three

01:03 or game four in Miami where Christian Brown played

01:05 really, really big minutes in the fourth quarter.

01:08 But you got the Joker, you got Murray,

01:11 another year removed from injury

01:14 with the ACL obviously being back and playing the full year.

01:16 But to me, this season for Denver

01:20 really is gonna have to hinge on the improvement

01:24 of Michael Porter Jr.

01:26 And I'm not talking to him as just as a straight shooter.

01:29 It's his ability to create, his ability to muck it up

01:33 and get in there and defend.

01:35 That's why I actually like his rebound proctor

01:38 at five and a half, Michael Porter Jr.

01:40 So they will be interesting.

01:42 But Donnie, like you're right.

01:44 You can really look at the West

01:46 and you can make an argument.

01:48 Phoenix, if they can stay healthy, can they win it?

01:50 Absolutely.

01:51 Can the Lakers win it?

01:52 They have arguably some of the best depth.

01:54 Can Golden State make one last one?

01:56 Absolutely.

01:57 Will Memphis show maturity?

01:59 And then obviously with the Clippers,

02:01 will PG and Kawhi play the whole year?

02:05 So it's gonna be very interesting

02:08 in that Western Conference

02:10 because you really can make a case of any one

02:13 of those six or seven teams to win it.

02:16 But to me, if the Lakers are healthy,

02:19 if the Lakers are healthy with that depth,

02:24 I gotta remember folks,

02:25 they played Denver as close as anybody in the playoffs.

02:29 And you can argue with better four-court performances,

02:32 they could have beat Denver.

02:33 The Lakers at seven and a half to one

02:35 to winning the Western Conference is very, very enticing.
