Here it is! The brand-new 2020 Corvette Stingray

00:02 Hi, I'm Edward Lo, Editor-in-Chief of Motor Trend,

00:06 and I might be the first person outside of General Motors

00:09 to sit in this car, the 2020 Corvette Stingray,

00:13 and I'm about to give you a few of the highlights

00:15 of the interior.

00:17 (upbeat music)

00:19 I'm sitting in what's considered

00:26 the natural finish interior.

00:28 It's beautiful, light brown, black trim,

00:32 and it's got a ton of new features.

00:33 Let's start first with this steering wheel.

00:36 As you can see, it's a squared off circle,

00:38 and it's got two bars and a bunch of buttons.

00:41 Currently, there's only one transmission option,

00:43 and it's an eight-speed Tremec dual-clutch transmission

00:46 operated by this array of buttons you see here.

00:49 It's got park, reverse, neutral, and drive,

00:51 and also a manual button that you push

00:54 to engage the paddle shifters.

00:55 Plus on the right, minus on the left,

00:58 and most importantly, the Z button,

01:00 which in one push gives you higher performance.

01:03 Straight in front of the driver

01:05 is a 12-inch configurable instrument cluster

01:08 and an infotainment system that measures 10 inches across.

01:11 There's also two new Bose audio systems.

01:13 Everything you want regarding climate control,

01:17 heated and cooled seats, is here in a strip of buttons

01:20 that runs north-south on the transmission tunnel.

01:23 The seats are awesome.

01:25 There's three different kinds.

01:26 I'm sitting in the most sporty one,

01:28 aggressively bolstered, carbon fiber trim,

01:30 some textile, some Nappa leather.

01:32 This is the competition seat.

01:34 The trunk can fit two golf club bags,

01:37 and up front in the frunk or front trunk,

01:39 you can fit a standard TSA-approved rollerboard carry-on bag

01:43 as well as a laptop bag or my backpack.

01:46 Corvette's been known as a GT car,

01:48 meant for grand touring,

01:49 so it looks like you get a lot of space

01:51 and a lot of performance.
