00:21 but rekindled their bond on a cross-country road trip.

00:24 It looked like you and the girls got on really, really well.

00:26 Did you off when the filming stopped as well?

00:30 Oh gosh, yes.

00:31 I mean, honestly, a lot of those scenes,

00:34 we weren't even acting, they were just rolling the camera,

00:37 and it was really real.

00:40 Brittany was a natural from the beginning.

00:44 It was such a beautiful experience.

00:47 The coming-of-age film, written by Shonda Rhimes,

00:49 was actually Britt's idea,

00:51 inspired by her close hometown friendships.

00:54 It was just at the time in my career

00:55 where I wanted to try something different,

00:57 and I came up with the whole concept of "Crossroads,"

01:00 and we got a writer to come in and elaborate on the script,

01:03 and then, you know, we had a movie.

01:05 I didn't know you could come up with your own idea

01:08 for a movie and everything,

01:10 so for it to be my idea and everything,

01:12 it's like my little project.

01:14 It feels very cool and special.

01:19 It was really organic for her.

01:22 because the movie makes sense.
