00:00 The craziness has not come to an end just yet.
00:03 This week we have Disney earnings and a massive CPI print.
00:08 We're past FOMC, but everyone's focused in on inflation and so much more to come.
00:12 I'm Gav Blacksburg.
00:13 I'm here with Evan from Stock Market News.
00:15 We're going to break it all down for you and make it nice, simple and easy.
00:19 Let's hop right into the earnings calendar for this week to get you all started out with.
00:23 Here's a good overall view of everything that we're looking at.
00:26 I already mentioned Disney, which is coming in on after hours on Wednesday.
00:30 There's some other big names on here though.
00:31 What's standing out to you the most, Evan?
00:34 Yeah, so some of the biggest names on here, let's go by day.
00:38 Monday I'm seeing PayPal and Palantir.
00:40 PayPal, a very traditional name, has been beaten down over the last couple of years
00:44 and we'll see how that one goes.
00:46 Actually a very interesting name for me on watch personally for my portfolio.
00:50 And then Palantir as well, a very popular name on FinTwit and on all the online communities.
00:56 So that will definitely be on watch.
00:58 Looking over to Tuesday, we got kind of, I'm going to call Nikola a meme, but Fisker might
01:03 be a little bit mean to put it in there.
01:05 But we got those EV companies going and then we got some other traditional names like Under
01:10 Armor.
01:11 I know people trade Digital Ocean and Novavax and some others.
01:13 And after the close, Airbnb, Ribbon, Occidental and a bunch others.
01:19 And Wednesday for me, definitely a big focus.
01:21 In the morning we got Liato, Wendy's, Teva, which is or was a Warren Buffett name.
01:26 I don't know if he still owns it, but that's how I first came in contact with it in Roblox.
01:31 And then we talked about this before, my big watch of the week is Disney after the close
01:36 on Wednesday.
01:37 But Trade Desk is a huge name.
01:38 Unity Software recently had some job cuts.
01:40 Beyond Meat, Robin Hood and some others.
01:44 We do tell off a little bit into the end of the week, JD and maybe one or two others,
01:48 but that's really kind of the names that I'll be watching on.
01:51 If I had to narrow it down to just three, it's definitely PayPal, Airbnb and Disney
01:56 would be my three.
01:57 What about you?
01:58 Yeah, I think you nailed it.
02:00 Definitely Lucid's going to get some watch just from the Tesla crowd.
02:02 Palantir.
02:03 Completely missed that one.
02:04 Yeah.
02:05 Yeah, right.
02:06 Monday after the close, Lucid and Palantir.
02:08 So actually with those two and PayPal, it's going to be a decent sized.
02:12 That's one of the bigger Monday earnings days.
02:14 And then...
02:15 I was thinking the exact same thing.
02:17 In the morning, Tyson Foods, BioNTech, Six Flags, small market caps, Six Flags, a lot
02:22 of fun though.
02:23 But yeah, busy Monday.
02:24 Yeah.
02:25 And then Rivian kind of coming in on Tuesday right after Lucid.
02:28 So you get both of those competitors back to back days.
02:31 Novavax in the morning there with Nikola, right?
02:34 A lot of movement I think we'll be seeing and then like even Upstart, Affirm.
02:37 So although we're past large tech earnings, we're still in a high period of volatility.
02:42 And there's certainly names on here that are going to move 10, 20 plus percent in one direction
02:46 or the other throughout the course of the week.
02:48 We can give a little bit of the estimates here.
02:51 We don't have to dig in too far.
02:52 You can kind of pause this and take a look if you'd like.
02:54 But you can see for PayPal and Palantir and Lucid, some of these other names, just some
02:58 of those estimates.
02:59 These are obviously coming from the Monday one.
03:01 Do you want to make any comments on these?
03:03 Yeah, very quickly.
03:04 The far right column, that is the revenue estimate.
03:07 The column slightly to the left of that is the non-GAAP EPS, which is generally is reported.
03:13 And right to the left of that is what time you should expect the numbers to be released,
03:16 not the earnings call.
03:17 Earnings call in the afternoons are normally 5, 5.30 PM Eastern.
03:21 In the morning, it could be 7, 8, 9, 10 AM Eastern.
03:24 So definitely some stuff to watch there.
03:26 But yeah, feel free to pause these videos.
03:28 We talked about some of the biggest ones.
03:30 EA was not on that list.
03:32 Virgin Galactic was also not on this list.
03:34 Wolf, one of your largest individual stock holdings.
03:36 I know you have a lot of ETFs.
03:39 CELH, Celsius Holdings was not on that list that we were looking at earlier.
03:42 So I know that one will definitely be on watch for you and we can keep cycling around.
03:46 You guys can, as Wolf said, pause the video.
03:48 I do want to remind people, make sure you guys, if you are enjoying this, give the video
03:52 a like.
03:53 If you want to see more of these type of videos, drop a comment down below.
03:57 Make sure you subscribe to our channels.
03:59 We're trying to bring a lot of stuff.
04:01 Obviously, we're live on Twitter spaces all day, every day, pretty much every single week.
04:07 And we're trying to do more on YouTube.
04:09 So we appreciate everyone that does subscribe and we're at Wednesday before the open and
04:14 now Wednesday after the close is another busy time.
04:17 I'll be watching Disney, as we've said 50 times today.
04:20 But yeah, Trade Desk and Unity Robinhood also interesting.
04:25 The other major events of the week on the macro fronts for me, the big, big watch also
04:31 on Wednesday, going to be a very, very busy day is CPI, inflation data.
04:36 This has been front and center on the Fed's watch list for a while and mainstream as well.
04:42 Although I have noticed a little bit of a tick down in interest.
04:46 But we'll see going forward.
04:48 So that is definitely the biggest watch for me this week is CPI on Wednesday, 8.30am Eastern.
04:55 Definitely have that on your radar.
04:57 But we also have some Fed governors and some other stuff as well.
05:00 Yep, you nailed it there with CPI.
05:03 And I don't know if you have those expectations ready, but I'm assuming it's around what,
05:06 4.8%?
05:07 Somewhere in that area?
05:11 I am seeing right around 5%.
05:13 I was actually unmuted there today.
05:15 Looks like the forecast is right around 5.25%.
05:18 So we might even see a little bit of a pickup in the expectations.
05:22 That's definitely something to keep on watch.
05:23 We have the actual there.
05:25 If you can go back to the last slide, sorry, I was like, where am I looking at?
05:29 That was PPI.
05:30 Yeah, 5% CPI year over year, I'm seeing a forecast of a 5.2%.
05:34 So I think a pickup would be psychologically pretty large, although we went from 6 to 5
05:40 last month, that won't be lost on anybody.
05:42 So I'm seeing forecast of 5, I'm seeing forecast of 5.2.
05:46 But I think a bar to watch out for very much is what we got last month.
05:51 So 4.9% and we rock it.
05:54 Well, those are your words.
05:56 But I'm seeing 5 and 5.2% around there is the forecast.
06:00 So we should be very close to that.
06:02 And then PPI is pretty interesting as well.
06:05 Tells you what's happening from the producer side of it definitely gets watched by a lot
06:08 of people.
06:09 So something interesting there.
06:10 It also saw quite a big drop last month.
06:14 There's also a couple Fed speakers going in here.
06:16 We were in a blackout window for a while for the Fed presidents heading into the FOMC meeting
06:21 and we are obviously past that.
06:23 So I'm expecting a lot of conversation from them this week, next week and into the future.
06:30 We were talking a little bit, you mentioned Jerome Powell and FOMC.
06:34 For those who are wondering, the next FOMC meeting, the next time we're going to hear
06:38 if they're going to raise rates or pause is on June 14th.
06:41 So a month and a week away from today.
06:43 It's tough to watch out there, but CPI, Disney earnings, what we let out with will be my
06:48 biggest focus of the week.
06:51 Perfect.
06:52 I think we covered everything then this week.
06:53 We hit on all the major earnings, which we are going to be covering live on Spaces.
06:57 So if anybody is curious, you can go to Twitter and go to @stocksonspaces and that's the account
07:03 that we'll be hosting earnings analysis and calls live from.
07:07 You can listen in as we give our thoughts, but of course, bring on experts onto the panel
07:12 on a regular basis to hear from them.
07:14 And then of course for CPI, we'll be live that morning, probably around 8 a.m. Eastern.
07:19 Also I believe from the Stocks on Spaces account and you can catch us there, myself, Stock
07:23 Market News, Stock Talk Weekly, and probably some others too, as we talk about CPI, its
07:28 effects on the market and how we are going to adjust our trading styles because of it.
