The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is set to begin its proceedings on HRD Corp’s training programmes and management of funds on Monday (Oct 23).

PAC chairman Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said this issue was not reported in the National Audit Report, hence, PAC is invoking its powers under Standing Order 77(1)(d) of the Dewan Rakyat to hold these proceedings.

00:00 And today, we want to inform everyone that all proceedings related to the Minister of Finance,
00:09 who was appointed, namely Fekrah Berhad, which was supposed to be scheduled yesterday,
00:15 18 October 2023, has been postponed,
00:20 since Datuk Wan Nazir bin Wan Muhammad, the Director of the WZR Company,
00:27 was not able to attend due to his work abroad.
00:33 And to be fair to him, the PAC needs clarification and attendance
00:39 to get clarification and explanation from him,
00:42 since he is involved in matters that are wanted to be investigated by the Ministry of Finance.
00:50 Therefore, I ask for the witnesses to be present
00:54 to help the PAC complete the investigation on this issue.
00:58 Next, the PAC will start proceedings
01:01 related to the management of training funds and the impact of the HRD Corp training program
01:08 on 23 October 2023.
01:12 And this issue is not reported.
01:15 In the report of the State Audit Office, LACAN,
01:18 the PAC uses the power under Regulation 77 in Section 1 of the D,
01:28 which is under the Regulations of the People's Council Meeting,
01:32 to hold this proceedings.
01:35 And the witnesses who will be called for this proceedings are
01:39 Datuk Haji Arman bin Haji Ahmad, Deputy Chief of the SIDASA and International,
01:44 and Datuk Wiras Shahul Daud, Executive Head of the HRD Corp.
