00:00 The Philippine Coast Guard is now in custody of the boat that was used by the Filipino fishermen who were caught in a boat that was a foreign ship in the Pangasinan Sea.
00:09 The Philippine Coast Guard believes that they have strong evidence to hold the people responsible for the boat that was used by three Filipino fishermen.
00:22 This is Bea Bernardo's report.
00:26 The Philippine Coast Guard has now recovered the F-8 Lirien, the boat that was used by the Filipino fishermen who were caught in a foreign vessel in the Pangasinan Sea a while ago.
00:36 According to the PCG, the retrieval operations of the boat started last week.
00:41 They conducted an aerial inspection to see the exact location of the boat and deployed the BRP Malapascua to secure it.
00:49 And the last process was the salvage operation with the help of MTAG Avior.
00:54 According to Vice Admiral Joseph Coime, PCG Commander for Maritime Safety Services Command,
00:59 the retrieval of the boat is important in the ongoing investigation of what they consider a very serious maritime incident where three of our fellow fishermen were caught in the incident.
01:10 We will see initially in the physical inspection that it has no cuttings because if you compare the original design, it has cuttings and it's outrigger.
01:19 In addition to the ongoing investigation, MT Pacific Ana, which has a port in Marshall Island, is the boat that was used as a salvage.
01:27 There is strong evidence from the PCG that will prove this, including the monitoring system of maritime traffic where Pacific Ana will be seen in the location of FB Lirien.
01:37 The Coast Guard also has a witness who will show the boat of Marshall Island that was used as a salvage.
01:43 The Marshall Island authorities in the Philippines have already confirmed that they are conducting their own investigation of the incident and expressed their interest in conducting an ocular inspection of FB Lirien.
01:55 They are very cooperative in the ongoing investigation and in fact, with their appearance in the Senate hearing, we will see that they are really helping the country of the Philippines.
02:06 It is expected that the PCG's report on this incident will be completed next week.
02:10 They will pass their report to the Department of Foreign Affairs that they will conduct diplomatic actions.
02:16 For now, the boat is in Subic, Zambales.
02:18 The owner of the boat cannot stop crying when he sees it again because his wife died here.
02:24 The pain of losing her husband and us is not going away.
02:30 My child is five years old.
02:35 He cannot return to his home while the investigation is still ongoing.
02:38 Bea Bernardo for the nation.
