Wigan Warriors fullback Jai Field hopes that he will be able to keep his emotions under control when he steps out onto the Old Trafford pitch on Saturday for the Super League Grand Final.
Transcript
00:00 What do you think the emotions will be like when you walk out the tunnel with 50, 60,000 fans cheering on inside?
00:05 Yeah, it's obviously exciting. I'd like to say at the moment that I'd be pretty relaxed, but I'm sure you'd be nervous at the time.
00:11 Some moments of magic to come on the field as well, you're hoping?
00:13 Yeah, obviously fingers crossed. You always want to put in a good performance for your team and try and, like I said, put your best foot forward to get the job done and the results. So, we'll be looking to do that.
00:23 And it's your first Grand Final, a big tick in your career, is it? A big milestone moment?
00:27 Yeah, for sure. As I said before, the Grand Final is sort of the pinnacle and to go out and run out and play in one is definitely exciting. So, looking forward to it.
00:34 How important is it to do it for the people in Lea and Farrell, the likes of Matt Peat and what he's put together? How important is it to play for each other on Saturday?
00:41 Yeah, for sure. I think that's something that Matty drives, is our togetherness. And, obviously, we've got some players that have been here and done it before and a lot of new players as well.
00:50 So, it's going to be their first game as well. So, I think a good bunch of blokes and, obviously, hopefully looking forward to getting the job done.
