00:10 At least 700 have been killed in Israel and over 400 in Gaza following the retaliation
00:17 for one of the bloodiest attacks in Holy Land history.
00:21 Hamas fighters rampaged through Israeli towns on Saturday, threatened to ignite another
00:27 conflagration in the long-running conflict.
00:30 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in response vowed a mighty vengeance with retaliation
00:36 of airstrikes hitting housing blocks, tunnels, mosques and homes of Hamas officials in Gaza.
00:44 Hamas and the smaller Islamic Jihad group claimed to have taken captive more than 130
00:50 people from inside Israel and brought them into Gaza.
00:54 They said these captives would be traded for the release of thousands of Palestinians imprisoned
01:00 by Israel.
01:03 Meanwhile two Filipinos sustained injuries in the fight between Israeli forces and the
01:07 Palestinian militant group Hamas.
01:09 According to the Philippine embassy, one of them was shot while being rescued by the Israeli
01:14 defense forces, while the other suffocated badly after his employer's house came on fire.
01:20 No deaths have been reported from the over 30,000 Filipinos in Israel.
01:25 Meanwhile President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered all government agencies to ensure
01:31 the safety of all the Filipinos in Israel amid the ongoing conflict.
01:36 He also condemned the attacks and conveyed his deepest sympathies to those who lost their
01:41 loved ones.
01:44 Meanwhile over 2,400 people have died in earthquakes in the Zendajan district in Herat province
01:51 of western Afghanistan, the deadliest tremors to rock the country in years.
01:56 The Taliban administration added that more than 9,000 were injured.
02:01 Afghan men continue to search for victims, fearing the toll could rise even further.
02:07 Rescue teams have arrived in the Herat province and food, water, medicine and clothes have
02:13 also been sent to the site.
