00:00 SoFi technology is attempting to disrupt the finance industry and it's doing so across

00:04 three main segments lending, technology and financial services. All three segments have

00:09 shown rapid growth over the past few years. SoFi banking now offers 3.25% on savings accounts

00:15 and that's helping SoFi to take market share from the big banks. As a result, total banking

00:20 deposits at SoFi were up 86% to $5 billion. But with the US yield curve highly inverted,

00:26 the probability of a recession next year is sky high. In a recession, loan delinquencies

00:31 rise which puts pressure on banks' balance sheets and finance stocks will come under

00:35 pressure if they've made bad loans. That's why I'd prefer to see how this company navigates

00:40 a recession before choosing to invest. I'd also like to see an improvement in net income.
